“Fun Stay at Hyatt Place”

Went on a trip with my girlfriends. The hotel isn't extravagant, but has basically everything you need. Breakfast, menus, Starbucks coffee, alcohol, etc. They do have a free shuttle service that will take you anywhere within three miles of the hotel. However, we only got to use this once since a three-hour parade went on outside our hotel on a Saturday morning (good thing we weren't sleeping in!) and blocked the entrances. Wish I had known beforehand. Also, one night the cook wasn't there to make food, but they do have late-night menus that deliver. However, most of the front desk employees were extremely sweet and helpful. We asked countless questions of where to go out and they did their best to tell us. They even asked the next day where we went, which was sweet. I wish I could remember the ladies' names...Our room was very nice, clean, and comfy. Plenty of mirrors for us girls! The location is also very close to marta stations. We didn't know what to expect, but we were very impressed by the friendliness and cleanliness of this hotel. (Although breakfast is somewhat to be desired.)

“Enjoyed our stay”

Hyatt Place Atlanta Downtown was in a very convenient location. We were close to CNN and Coca Cola World as well as Exposition Park. It was convenient to get to Marta (transit) and we really appreciated the shuttle that the hotel provided for us.....willing to take us to restaurants, ect. Great eats: Daddy D's has the best BBQ in town....not at all fancy, but delicious; and Gladys Knight's Chicken and Waffles should not be missed (we walked just about 5-6 blocks from the hotel). If you are going to a Braves game, get the shuttle from the Underground.

“I had no problems, Front DESK very helpful”

The reps were friendly, professional, and always greeted me, even if they saw me walk pass 50 times. They printed out local maps for me, gave me some referrals about the area and I wouldnt mind going back.

“Very pleased”

Hyatt Place Atlanta was a great deal. While traffic in Atlanta is stressful, we had no problem at all since they offered shuttle service to anyplace within a 3-mile radius of the hotel. Once we parked, we did not have to use our vehicle at all until we left. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. One of my grandchildren got sick and they found a walk-in clinic we could take him to and offered the shuttle to take us. Thankfully, we did not have to go, but it meant the world to me that they got all necessary information for us and offered the shuttle. I would definitely stay at Hyatt Place Atlanta again.

Area recommendations

Very close to many of Atlanta's attractions. Shuttle service is provided which makes enjoying the sights totally stress free.

“not impressed with the nonsense at the desk”

The worst thing about this hotel was that although we booked the room in Dec., they tried to give us a room on the first floor with a tiny window overlooking the parking lot with NO bathtub...it was a geriatric room, with a walker outside the shower stall. And it smelled weird. I refused the room, and got a song and dance about how the hotel was SOOOO FULL....and they finally gave us a room on a higher floor that was OK, nothing special, but it had a bathtub. Its main virtue was the central location.
