“Friendly, clean, helpful and very comfortable.”

A very refreshing experience. The staff were very pleasant, greeting with a smile and wishing good day/afternoon/evening every departure. They had a small bar at the front desk that also served good food. The rooms were spacious, clean with comfortable bedding (my king was). The fridge and wet bar was nice. The large TV was unique in that it had a remote "docking station" for every imaginable a/v input. I enjoyed playing my iPhone through the mini stereo jack input. I will search for this Hyatt property on future trips.

“I enjoyed my stay!!!!”

This is the perfect location between Atlanta and Braselton. It is right off the highway (i-85). They have a continental breakfast which is a nice perk. And you can order more off the menu 24/7. They do not have room service but you can eat right in the breakfast area or at the starbucks counter (yes they have starbucks..for a fee). I found the staff nothing more than respectful and helpful. My room was perfect for sleeping etc. I did alot of activities so i was back by like 5pm. My TV hummed and when i mentioned it they fixed it that day or gave me the option to "switch rooms" if it wasn't fixed. Very cool. I didn't use the fridge alot but noticed the temp control didn't go down so my food froze a bit. It was at the end of the week i noticed this but i'm positive if i mentioned it they would have replaced it. Lots of restaurants in the area. It certainly isnt a 5 star but it was clean and the people were so accomodating. I would definately stay there again. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe and secure.

Area recommendations

If you have the time...got up to Chateau Elan. I booked spa services..they are a bit pricey but you have use of the facilty ALL day..simply stunning...they have 7 restaurants. The winery is something to check out. Take the 5$ wine tour w/ 5 samples of the wine after. You can also try other wines for 1$ a glass to see what you like the best. NOTE: I live in MA...they don't ship there and you can't bring wine on the plane...so WRAP it well in bubble wrap and in a cardboard box if putting in your suitcase. I got 3 bottles plus a bottle of port home safely. I went to the Mall of Georgia...awesome...experienced Vietnamese food...went to the georgia aquarium...I didn't make it to the Zoo but hopefully next time. I am a big fan of Tuesday Morning (like a tjmaxx/marshalls)...we don't have any up here so i scouted all of them! The highway system is large but so easy to navigate...you wonder why all roads aren't built this way. I had a blast~!

Getting there

You should have no trouble from ATL...very well noted...1-85...can't miss the signs...honestly, just go straight...

Getting around

if you print mapquest it will tell you to get to the highway from the hotel to go R onto pleasant and then make a uturn. Ask the staff a better way. I took a R onto market...went to the second set of lights...took a right at Purple Rain..and then a L onto pleasant...much easier...and if coming from the other direction...take a left at steak and shake.

Must see

georgia aquarium, coke a cola (didn't go) but right next door, Chateau Elan...just DRIVE :)

so many options...i was traveling alone so i didn't go out really late...red lobster was awesome...they have a place called purple rain and this country bar called wild bills...lots of options...! korean food and vietnamese food are in abundance!

“Unique room design good value”

The room design was different and welcome. We had four people. 2 on king bed and 2 on sofa sleeper. sofa sleeper mattress was not a problem. quite comfortable. glass drinking cups in room. 42 inch flat screen TV that can swivel from side to side. When sofa made back up you had a very comfortable living room with plenty of seating to watch TV. Nice desk area and nice wet bar set up. Breakfast was nice for continental type. fresh fruit was good. A pancake machine or waffle maker would be nice but not available. The seating they had was nice but they needed more seating. They had a option for ordering food to your desire through through a computer screen in the breakfast area. Check in was different in that you used a airport style kiosk to get your room keys. Hallways were quite and elevators were very fast. You did not wait but only a short time before at least one elevator was at your call. For the price I paid we would go back in a minute.

“Great Location, Awesome Staff, Stained Linens...”

Having stayed at the Johns Creek Hyatt Place... I expected to receive the same friendly, well maintained & clean experience & 2 of my 3 expectations were met. There were red stains on the white sheets & 1 pillowcase that looked like someone dripped fruit punch on them so it made me wonder if the sheets had been changed from the previous occupant's stay! I smelled the sheets & they were fresh but as a precaution; I travel w/ Lysol & sprayed the linens & pillowcases excessively as well as the toilet, sink & all handles! Other than the red stained spotted sheets; the room was perfect! My fiancee had to leave before check out due to work but the staff was very helpful with my early check out as I did not feel comfy staying alone until morning. I will definitely stay again taking advantage the pool & exercise room BUT if the next room's linens have red spotted sheets; I'll simply ask for another room! The friendly staff is a major plus...

“Location, Location! Gwinnett Center easy access.”

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel to attend a concert at the Gwinnett Center. The location was perfect! The arena was accessible from a side Satellite Road entrance. Loads of restaurants and shopping were just outside our hotel door. We arrived at 2:45 to a very quick check-in. Our room was very clean, and we commented on how pleasant the hotel smelled. Our room was the typical Hyatt Place room with the couch seating area, desk area, refrigerator/microwave, and large screen tv. I stay at Hyatt Place's as much as possible because it's such a great value, especially for all the extra space. The only negative I could say is that the while the hotel was absolutely acceptable, it just seemed a little "shabbier" than others I have stayed at. Also, the bathroom was not as nice as some. Maybe it wasn't as new as others I have stayed in. If I attend another concert at the Gwinett Center I would probably stay at this hotel again.
