nice hotel but a little no clean

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Location: Galena town
the overall stay at this hotel is nice but the only thing I am not satisfied with is the bath tub in the bathroom. There are dirty black things in the tub therefore I can only take shower. I dont think they clean the room well but the overall environment is great. Its near to Galena and walmart.

Marietta Hotel: Not a hotel at all

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: NOTHING!
Cons: EVERYTHING!
Location: N/A
The staff was rude. The hotel room that was assigned to me was extremely filthy and smelly. No human being- specially a paying customer- should be able to sleep in such a room. I asked to be assigned to different room and was told that not only are the other rooms similar, but also that there was no other room to assign me. I had to go look for a neighboring hotel facility to spend the weekend. I call Expedia to have my reservation cancelled. But Marietta Hotel wouldn't cooperate and hotel management even refused to partially refund me. I still left to go spend the weekend at a decent hotel. Besides, the staff of the hotel was not only unprofessional, but also rude. Never would I recommend this fake hotel to anyone, and never ever ever ever again would I set foot there. That place doesn't deserve to be called a hotel. That building must be condemned immediately. It is a shame and a crime that Marietta Hotel is still allowed to be open. It is also just UNBELIEVABLE that anyone would be allowed to get close to that building and to get charged for staying at that sorry place. Expedia SHOULDN'T sell this sorry place of a hotel to its customers. Do not condone/promote mediocrity. Do your customer a favor/service and remove Marietta Hotel from the list of hotels that you propose to your customers. That's the least Expedia should do.

It's a dump

Posted Apr 7, 2015
I don't even think it's a hotel because people live there. I think it's a half way house. I had to buy new blankets, sheets because I refuse to sleep on there's, towels, soap, toilet paper because what ever they put, you have to purchase the rest. I also bought a bunch of scented sweet smelling plugins. The scent of the room was enough to make me feel sick to my stomach.

Fine for the price

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Location: I stayed in Marietta (on the northern outskirts of Atlanta) en route to another location because Marietta has a Whole Foods market.
I stayed two nights separated by a couple of days. The rooms were a bit run down but adequate; they are set up for longer stays, with kitchen in the room and inexpensive coin operated washing facilities. The general environment was fine for a man travelling alone; would not consider it safe/comfortable for my family. There was a sign in the car park warning they do not take responsibility for theft or damage to vehicles (I did not have any problems).

TO THE UNAWARE

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
The most disgusting hotel experience of my life. Room was dirty, Top sheet on bed had burn marks on them, No towels only a small face cloth, No glasses, not even a plastic glass, Only one light in the room worked. No way to adjust volume on TV. Elevator was out of service. I would not take room again even if they paid me.

run down

Pros: sheets, toilet, sink,& shower apeared to be clean.
Cons: needs complete remodeling
Location: close to lots of nice places, shops, food & dining spots,
there was no phones,no towels at all (had to purchase my own at walmart) to shower,no amenities, no maids(told only 2 maids work once a week),had to program the tv remote(replacement unit) my self.no maintainance staff available. very run down-very dirty hallways. most of the doors to the rooms apeared to be kicked in at some time. On a positive note the hairdrier in the room worked.rates were very cheap.
