Spend a little more and stay somewhere elsePosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Room service was the only thing I liked about this hotel. The food arrived quickly and the staff room service staff were very friendly.
Cons: The TELEVISIONS! It's 2014! Why does this hotel still have tube televisions with poor quality!
The bathtub could have been a lot cleaner. There were several dark spots indicating that it has not been cleaned properly. I was looking forward to taking a bubble bath but the tub was disgusting so that was not possible. Also, the televisions need to be updated. There is no reason why I was watching a fuzzy tube TV all weekend in 2014. The hotel is long overdue for a HDTV. Lastly, I had to wait on a long line to check out. There were only two front desk agents present and none of them has $100 to give me my security deposit back. After waiting 25 minutes and watching them speak with people I believe to be managers, I was given my deposit back in ONE HUNDRED SINGLE DOLLAR BILLS! I was very annoyed considering I was in a rush to return my rental car. Here's a tip for next time. Keep more cash at hand!

Pros: welcoming reps behind the check-in.everyone made eye contact and were eager to offer their services.
Cons: tv and radios.heating up the room took a long time.unattractive lobby and bar.probably one of the worst walk-in front entrance i've encounterd.
Location: see above
close to public transportation but many money moochers hang around there.close to the theatre district and many upscale restaurants.no matter where i walked i would be confronted and bothered by deadbeats asking for money.the hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious.the tv was terrible and the radio was barely functional.terrible lobby and uncomfortable chairs at the bar area.not an area you want to walk around night or day.

Friendly sevice, located well. Outdated.Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The staff.
Cons: Tv. Wifi signal. outdated shower room.
Location: Midtown atlanta. Pretty much anything you want.
The hotel staff was great, rooms were clean. Valet service was quick. However the rooms are outdated and the wifi is mediocre. No patio access. Took at least 15 minutes to get hot water in the shower. TV was one of the old tube style with not audio/video jacks much less hdmi and very few channels which wouldnt have been a problem if the television had any kind of input. Overall a disappointing stay for all three rooms we rented.

Good location, that's about all it has to offerPosted Apr 14, 2014
if you are looking for a place to just crash for a cheap price, this is your place. The rooms are very outdated. Our a/c didn't work. The shower curtain was stained. All in all, the room served it's purpose but I would not return or recommend it to any of my friends.

It was my first time to Atlanta ga to have a good time and my hotel room that was advertised with a balcony onto the room, however I got there and the sliding glass window to the balcony is screwed shut, I paid $160.00 for the room basically thinking I'm have a balcony for the night, and did not ... Will not be back

Not at all what I expectedPosted Apr 14, 2014
I was quite disappointed with my stay here. There were no shower caps, the floor of the tub was stained brown & black, the water didn't drain, the maid did a terrible job of cleaning up the room.

Great place in downtown Atlanta.Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Staff was friendly especially Trevor. Great breakfast too.
Location: See story above. Real short drive to Georgia aquarium and coca cola world and short walk to the Varsity drive in and those great chilli dogs.
Great location great price close to Georgia Aquarium and Coca Cola World and short drive to Turner Field. Took my six year old grandson to Braves game and aquarium for his birthday. Trevor who took our luggage to the room found out he was there for his birthday brought him a small chocolate cake and a glass of milk. Needless to say my grandson was excited. We had a great experience at the Melia hotel in Atlanta.

Not worth the pricePosted Apr 10, 2014
Lobby and bar area looked nive and clean. My room had no trashbags in the cans, spare change laying in room. A giant burn in the carpet and the balcony door would not open as the handle appeared broke. The area right outside hotel appeared sketchy as i was approached by 2 different people looking for money but up a block was a few places to eat and I felt much safer.
