“Motel 6 Atlanta”
Well situated, good for a budget hotel. I would go back
“One of the best Motel 6 I've been in”
The downtown Atlanta Motel 6 is an excellent value. There is free parking on location, and after we checked out we were able to leave our car parked there until mid-afternoon, since everything we wanted to do that day was within walking distance. The room was clean, with a nice queen-size bed, and we were on the side of the building away from traffic. The bathroom had a tub instead of shower, not to be taken for granted at Motel 6. The only problem we had was that the free Internet did not work. When I called about that, I was told that some systems were down, and not expected to be repaired until 9 a.m. the next day. Location is excellent, with easy walking distance for many restaurants, the CNN building, Olympic Park, and the Coca Cola headquarters, among others.
“Pleasantly surprised”
A Motel 6 in Downtown Atlanta that was inexpensive and with free parking.......I was expecting the worst. I was pleasantly surprised when i arrived. It was great for the price. I mean don't expect the Hilton or anything but for a really inexpensive "Motel", not Hotel.....it was a deal. There was a lil smell to the place when you first walk in like someone was cooking something spicy somewhere. As for the appearance....It's a Motel 6. Nicer than what i expected though. Obviously not american owned but the front desk was extremely helpful when asking directions and suggesting late night take out. They were really nice guys. It was about a 4 block walk to the world of Coke and Aquarium. I had a short conversation with a homeless dude on the way but he was just trying to help me cross the street. Once you walk about half a block towards the Aquarium you enter a more "safer" feeling part of Downtown. The area around the Motel 6 isn't seedy or anything but you'll see a few homeless or shady looking dudes walk by occasionally. Typical city foot traffic....nothing more. The hotel had plenty of locked doors only accessible with a room key so it made you feel a lil safer. Overall i was really happy with our stay. If you want a place to stay the night that is convenient to Downtown and aren't very picky about your room like i am....This is the place for you. And i got a heck of a deal through Expedia compared to other sites. Thanks expedia.
“Not Bad”
I've seen reviews of people complaining about the hotel, but the location is excellent, it was a bargain, and it had the friendliest, most helpfull hotel staff I've ever seen in my life. The building itself is a little rundown, and the continental breakfast wasn't great. The service was excellent, it was right on the edge of downtown, very convenient for the convention I was at. If I were in Atlanta again, I'd probably stay at this hotel again.
“This type of hotel is for sleep only...”
My trip was succesful and the Atlanta Downtown Travelodge was a good place to stay. I did not stay in the hotel very much, since I had other business in town and used the hotel only for sleeping. The only complained I have is that the only one who appear to be working is Ben. The housekeeping sometimes was not done although the cleaning of the hotel was satisfactory. If you are going to use this hotel only for sleeping, is a good choice.
“First stay in Atlanta.”
Went to the Georgia Aquarium and Coca Cola Center. This hotel was right around the corner from everything. Would stay again.
“Steal of a Deal in ATL”
Great rates, clean and nice staff! Easy access on and off of I-75. Short walk to all centennial park attractions!
“Good Value in Downtown Atlanta”
Stay downtown for a lot less than other hotels just down the street.
“Would stay here again and again”
Ben at front desk was extremely helpful with every request we brought to him. The motel is within a 10 minute walking distance of the downtown area and the rooms were comfortable. Clean beds and rooms but a mild smoke smell. For the price and location I would highly recommend staying at Motel 6 Atlanta.
“Free Parking!!”
I went to Atlanta for a meeting, so I was very pleased to find a clean, moderately priced, conveniently located hotel with free parking (a really big deal in downtown Atlanta).
