Cheap hotel near Six Flags

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Beds were comfortable. Pool was really nice after a long day.
Cons: Non smoking enforced in rooms. Don't know if the coffee was old or just bad, but either way it could be improved. Front desk didn't answer phone.
Location: Six Flags, lots of restaurants.
Overall an okay experience. Room billed as nonsmoking had clearly been smoked in heavily, with large amounts of air freshener and cleaner in the air. Breakfast buffet was decent but coffee not so much. Beds were VERY comfortable -- easily the best bed we've had in a cheap hotel.

This was more like an Unquality Inn. The room smelled awful. The bathtub was repainted halfway up the wall with epoxy which was bubbling up & peeling off. There was 4 lamps total for lighting - only 1 worked! None of the electrical outlets worked. There was basically no water pressure. The staff was very, how to word this, uneducated. I called the night prior & asked how to get there from Wal-Mart (hotel is behind IHOP) & the clerk said she didn't know. She said "You leave Wal-Mart and come here on road". I swear that is a true story. The guy at the front desk in the morning didn't know what to do when I told him I needed another room that at least had electricity. I walked him through moving me into another room. It wasn't much better but at least I did have an outlet for the blow dryer. He claimed they were in the middle of remodeling. I saw no signs of that. Seriously I was mad that I paid to stay here.

Hotel close to Six Flags over Georgia

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Close to Six Flags and price
Cons: cont. breakfast
Location: Six Flags
Room was clean however the cont. breakfast was terrible. Barely anything to eat. I went to get a cup of orange juice and I had to dump it because it looked like water with a little orange food coloring in it.

Close to the highway and six flags.

The hotel is in the middle of being renovated. Which is good and bad. They had the "gym" full of carpets and paint cans. The room I stayed in was updated except the shower which was awful. The breakfast buffet included stale biscuits, no milk for cereal, and little selection. They do accept pets but don't have any grassy areas for the pets to use. You get what you pay for.

Basic necessities.

Posted Apr 29, 2014
Cons: Overall appearance of rooms.
Location: Lots of restaurants easily accessible by car and a few within walking distance too.
Basic necessities provided. A clean bed, towels and a hot shower were all we really needed. Refrigerator and microwave worked well too. We were not in town for a luxurious vacation and we were only in the room to sleep and shower so it suited our needs. Looks like they were in the middle of remodeling during our stay.

Cons: Replace sofa beds with new mattresses, upgrade exterior lighting and all soda/snack machines
When we arrived to check-in, we were told our room w/ 2 double beds had been taken but that we could be upgraded to a Suite for the same price, so we agreed. The sofa bed in our room was AWFUL and we had to go back to the lobby to get bedding and more towels and toilet paper. The hotel was in a convenient location and the staff was VERY nice and accommodating. The free breakfast was decent, biscuits & gravy, make your own waffles "yummy" and other basic breakfast items. We only stayed 1 night and the hotel overall was satisfactory for the price and location, but I wouldn't stay there again unless I was in a pinch!
