If you are in a pinch...

Posted Jul 20, 2014
It serves it's purpose, don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. Our room only had 2 large towels, when housekeeping came by I asked for extra (2 adults & 1 child). Next day, housekeeping came by took the towels and again only left us 2 towels. Fridge didn't work, sofa cushions were ripped at seams, carpet with multiple stains. Breakfast started too late for us. Remodeling/updating is in various stages in various areas (including rooms) there is debri on sidewalks and stairwells. Best feature was the spacious suite for a family of 3.

Good economy hotel.

Posted Jul 20, 2014
The hotel was undergoing renovations while I was there. First impression was really poor since it was never announced that a renovation was occurring. However, room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The workers during the day were courteous. The staff was great.

Good location...not so good experience

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Being at this site makes your skin crawl. The smell is of really bad cleaning products with a hint of smoke. Even though they are renovating, things are worn and not done correctly. The hotel charged us twice for the room even though we had paid through Expedia. No way my family and I will be back.

Location was in renovation but still good

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Rooms very accommodating. Location to bulkhead and start of Peachtree Road Race good.
Cons: Later breakfast
Location: As mentioned above
This was a good accommodation during the running of the Peachtree Road Race. It was unfortunate that the breakfast bar is not extended on the 4th of July so that when the runners return to the hotel they could have breakfast. The race starts for the masses from 8:00 to 9:00 and to get back by 9:30 for breakfast is impossible. I would also suggest a 12:00 courtesy checkout.

Thank you for your comments. On the weekend and holidays, breakfast is moved one hour later. I am sorry we were not able to accommodate you during these times. We will, however, review these times for next year's race. Thank you.

Great service

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Staff was very accomodating
Cons: TVs were old stype, and while we were there some rooms were getting new flat screens, so some minor upgrades are needed in the room, but still clean!
Location: Not too far from Martha bus stop, metro station- shuttle runs from hotel
I have booked this hotel through expedia and when I got there to check in, they did not have my reservation. I called expeida right away and they called the hotel and manually entered the reservation. The room I had reserved by then was not available, Front desk had upgrated me to a two bedroom suite! This made my stay even more enjoyable, staff was nice and room was great and roomy! Also used a hotel shuttle one of the nights and it was very promt and quick service. So I would stay at this hotel again and would indeed recommend it to friends and family!

Huge room for great price

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Great price for the size of room(s). Friendly staff. Ample breakfast. Essentially was a two bedroom apartment. :)
Cons: Definitely needed updating - new carpeting, t.v. upgrades, outside upgrades.
Location: Near shopping and restaurants. For us, close to Emory University (15 minutes)
Although the decor and facade of the hotel are a bit dated, the suite we had was extremely clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived late and were given a room way in the back of the hotel on the third floor. We were disappointed at the location of our room, but chose not to move a couple of days later when it was available (we were there for four nights to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Emory U.) because we found we were not going in and out so much that we were put out by the location or stairs too much. The breakfast was a good continental breakfast comparable to others we've had elsewhere. Was pleasantly surprised by the room size which was large, included two separate suite rooms (one room with one double bed, tv and bathroom and the other with two double beds, a t.v. and it's own bathroom) and a "living area" with a couch and another t.v. and a full kitchen (included full-size refrigerator, stove and microwave). Perfect set-up for those sleeping and watching t.v. on different schedules.

Nice Hotel, Convenient Location

Posted May 16, 2014
Pros: The location was great. The suite was comfortable and suitably furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: There was a slight damp odor and the corners could have been cleaner, but overall it was neat and clean.
Location: Very convenient to major shopping areas, sports venues, hospitals, the aquarium, World of Coca Cola and not too far from the zoo.
I needed a hotel close to Piedmont Hospital and this one was ideal. The staff was cordial and helpful. The hotel is being renovated, but this did not present a problem. My suite was ideal for my needs and the bed was very comfortable.

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate the compliments on our staff. I am sorry for the damp smell in the room and the state of the corners. I am glad to say that part of the renovation includes the replacement of the carpet and carpet pad. I will also follow-up with housekeeping regarding the carpet edges and make sure that they are being attended to. Thank you again and see you soon.
