Sonesta ES Suites in ATL....never again.Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Price, included breakfast, and location proximity to the Perimeter Area (shopping, dining, etc).
Cons: Building was old and in need of upgrade....with thin ceilings, floors, and walls.
Location: Perimeter Mall and shopping centers are nearby.
Extremely thin ceilings and floors, so you can literally hear every footstep above you, and transmit everyone of your footsteps below. (We even had the lady beneath us come complain because we were "walking too hard"). The other major issue was the unsavory clientele staying in the hotel. Please of suspicious looking folks just standing around watching your unpack, leave, return, etc....and we later found out that many of the guests were "living" there. Needless to say, we won't be back. I took my family with me on a business trip and selected this hotel for the multi-room suites & kitchen and the price was affordable.....well now I know why. You get what you pay for. Next time I'll just spend the extra money and stay at Embassy Suites or somewhere comparable.

Home Away From HomePosted Feb 18, 2014
Cons: Bigger Gyms
Location: Perimeter Mall, Marta, Nordstroms
Sonesta Suites has the comforts of home close to Buckhead and Perimeter Center. For the frequent traveler it is nice to be able to use a kitchen and make favorite foods. There is a complimentary laundry and gym. I also like the DVD players and TV's in the living room. I will definitely use this hotel again!

Keep on looking.Posted Dec 13, 2013
Cons: Double check that rooms are clean before guests are settled in.
Location: NA - Did not stay
My first dismay was when I found out that this hotel did not have elevators. So unless you're on the 1st level, or have someone to carry your load for you, get ready to drag your baggage up and down concrete steps while outside in the elements; that is if you aren't staying in one of the rooms domiciled in the main hub of the hotel. Most of the rooms are entered from the outside. Although this was disappointing, the condition of my room was the reason I checked in and checked out! It was shockingly unclean and I have the pictures to tell. They are of the bed (brown stain w/ink marks), the desk chair (dead spider or large mosquito), the bedroom rug, walls (spider webs on several), and the entrance floor. The front desk clerk never bothered to ask why I wanted to check out after just checking in, until I stated that I had pictures. Even then, I wasn't asked to show them. The general manager, although very nice, did see the pictures and was somewhat excusatory by stating that "mistakes do happen." Problem with that is, the level of cleanliness or the lack thereof was not a "mistake," it was laziness, an indication of poor management oversight and a lack of accountability. What I encountered was inexcusable! Therefore, an excuse of any kind should have never been uttered as a defense for not meeting the very basic of expectations that every hotel customer has.

Nice home away from home but the laundry was dirtyPosted Dec 12, 2013
The room was just great. I made dinner and enjoyed a DVD I rented. I neede to wash some clothes and found that the facilities were so dirty. But that really was my only complaint.

Like being at home!Posted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: THE PRICE! However, they mentioned reno, and so you know the prices will go up.
Cons: The only problem was the noisy air vent which kept my travel companion awake into the week hours.
Location: Hey! It's Perimeter Center!! What CAN'T you do nearby? There's shopping, dining, hair salons, nail salons, etc.
We loved the kitchenette, and the pullout sofa. We loved the DVD player, and the flat screen TV in the Living Room. We loved the dining table. We'd definitely stay there again.
