Nice motel close to DeKalb Medical Center Decatur

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Room was very clean and nice. Would definately stay here again.
Cons: Only thing, parking lot is tight but not un navigatable
Location: Very close to the Decatur entertainment district as well, where there are some nice restaurants and shops.
. We came in because my husband's sister was in the hospital. Very nice and clean motel. Reasonably priced.

Good budget hotel

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and it was a good experience again. It is a good, relatively inexpensive option in an otherwise expensive area. We will continue to stay here whenever we are visiting/picking up/ or dropping off our daughter at college.

One Night

Posted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Great price and everything was clean.
Cons: Had trouble with the wifi.
Location: Mellow Mushroom restaurant within walking distance!
I stayed here for just one night, but it was a good one. The price was very reasonable which was why I picked it. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. I didn't get to see much else, but this definitely did the job for one night.

Not too good

Posted Jan 27, 2014
Had issues with the door locks. The room key cards they issued us did not work, so we had to have the hotel desk clerk go up and open our room with a master key every time we wanted to leave and come back. They said the door lock issue was common to allot of rooms and getting us a new key would not help. The next day we got up and took showers only to find that the shower drainw as partially clogged and by the time the shower was over there was 8 inches of water in the bottom of the tub. We were fed up and complained to the hotel general manager after finding a phone number online. The hotel manager came up and moved us to a new room with a lock/key combination that worked and a shower with a working drain. Allot of hassles for the first day, but after being moved to a new room the rest of the stay was OK.

Customer Service: What's that?

Posted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: What do you think I liked?
Cons: Let's start with customer service....
My room was not equipped with bath towels, a fact I discovered as I stood adjusting the water temperature. Well, that's inconvenient. But I'll just call down to the office and ask them to bring me some bath towels so I can shower. The desk clerk refused. He said he was the only person on duty and couldn't leave the office. I had to get dressed and go get the towels. And there wasn't even an apology for the inconvenience. If the room wasn't prepaid I would have checked out that instant. But I did learn/relearn some things. One: I will NEVER stay in this hotel again or any other hotel in the chain. Second: No more prepaying for rooms. Sorry, Expedia, this is the last time I book a room through you. Third: You get what you pay for. Warning: If you stay here you have no one to blame but yourself for the experience.

Near Downtown Decatur

Location is fine, room is OK, grounds are really, really messy. Not unlike a frat house parking lot after Game Weekend. For the money, it's alright but nothing special
