Check in and check out were easy. Clean rooms. Nice Location. 10 minute walk to little five points. The Ballroom Lounge downstairs was pretty cool. Great place to stay for young people just visiting for a night to see a show or something. Real simple. Definitely will go back.

If your looking for a great place to stay,then look no further.The Highland Inn has great and friendly customer service,is situated in a great part of town and has loads of great bars and restaurants on it's doorstep.

“my favorite hotel!”

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times now...and I love it! This was the smallest room, thus far, but I will still book this hotel anytime I'm going to ATL. My bf and I are actually thinking about moving to the apartments across the street.

“Local flavor”

This is the perfect example of what virgina highland is all about. If one wants to be right in the center of this area of Atl they will be very pleased. The hotel is an old, cozy homelike setting with a great ,easygoing staff that was always happy to answer questions. I will always stay here when I go up to visit my son.I used to live in Atl and always wanted to stay there. I was not disapointed !!

We we greeted by guitar playing and song singing front desk! Terrific! Everybody was wonderful. Hotel had great character. Would definitely stay again!

“Funky step up for youth hostel”

Great staff. Price was right for an intown hotel. Room was far, far from elegant or luxurious, but it was clean. A warm blanket would have been welcome.

“Fabulous Location! Good Price! Small but Clean!”

Location is the key feature of the Highlands Inn and the price is tough to beat. Within easy walking distance (try out the front door) of several yummy eateries. A longer hike takes one to the heart of Virginia/Highlands in one direction and Little 5 Points in the other. These have always been Atlanta's hip little artsy neighborhoods and they still are - though a bit more yuppified. They do advertise being a WIFI hotspot - actually the sign out front calls it a "cool" spot intending the attitude but acurately describing the extremely limited signal range. The signal is not available in your small (by U.S. standards) room and the breakfast room (where it's best) was quite warm despite the valiant efforts of a weezing window air conditioner (it was a major heat wave and temps were way above average). Despite these minor things - smallish room, squishy bed, limited WIFI - I would definitely stay again. If you like chains, you probably won't like it BUT if you like charm the Highland is for you.

Friendly eclectic guests. This is my kind of place. I'll stay here everytime I'm in Atlanta.
