Very nice hotel. In the "heart" of Atlanta--walking distance to lots of restaurants and entertainment. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. The cost of valet service stings a bit but the service they provided at valet was top-notch.

Very nice and comfortable stay. Breakfast above expectations. Becareful where you park due to fines for staying past time alotted. Use valet parking!

Perfect center of town location

Location: Turner Field - Braves Aquarium Botanical Gardens Art museum Ray's Downtown restaurant
Stylish, chic & eclectic. Perfect center of town location for getting anywhere in the Atlanta area. Before heading out, or returning after a long day its always awesome to be surrounded by and treated to luxury & style of the Ritz Carlton.

Small room

I'd booked 2 Queens for our family of 5, but when we arrived all they had was 1 King. The room was extremely small, and there was a long crowded wait for the elevator. The first person at the desk refused to offer any help and simply said to book directly through them next time. Fortunately, a second person supposedly refunded our card but told us that Expedia never guareentees the number of beds and only books the cheapest room. First time I've ever had a problem booking through Expedia, so I believe it was strictly the hotel.

Disappointed at the Ritz

This was our first stay in Atlanta and at the Ritz. Ive always heard great things about the Ritz and was excited about our stay. Before we got there I called to see if we could chk in early. I was asked to hold so that "she could take care of another guest". I didnt mind holding. I was a guest also and I ended up holding for 19 minutes before anyone came back to the phone. I made it to the hotel by the time someone came back to the phone. I was talking the the manager as I walked in the lobby.I told her that I had been holding for then 18 mins and I wanted to ask about checking in early. She said "well we dont have any early check ins avail". She never apologized for the hold time. I asked to speak to the supervisor at that point. I was already disappointed. I forgot the managers name but he was very nice and apologized for everything. I understand being put on hold but not for 19 mins. And certainly not drivng and making it to the hotel before someone comes back to the phone. We had driven in from Baton Rouge, La and I was trying to make plans according to an early chk in or not. But the young man in Valet, Kareem was very nice..great attitude.

Attended a convention at the world congress center

Pros: close to convention center, had a nice dinner in the restaurant, staff was helpful, room clean
Location: ate dinner across the street, very good. Did not explore the area
We chose the hotel because it was within walking distance to the convention center. I thought the rooms were very expensive in comparison to other hotels. For $500 a night....whew.

Wow does this hotel need to be updated and freshened up, looks pretty beat up! Worn carpet and eat up furniture in the room. Not very safe area either
