“convenient”
close to the airport, good shuttle service. nice restaurant in house.
“Very nice!”
I flew in for a class which was held at the same hotel, so it was very convenient. The bed was very comfortable and it was great having a large desk for work in the evenings. I was a little surprised to find the internet was $12.95 per day, but overall a great experience.
“good hotel”
overall pretty good
“Great hotel near Atlanta airport”
I had to stay in Atlanta just one night and be ready in the morning to catch my flight so I needed a hotel near the airport. Westin was exactly what I was looking for: free airport shuttle to and from hotel and comfortable room. In the morning, good breakfast buffet (not included in room price). Very friendly staff. For its location I would recommend this hotel if you need to stay in Atlanta just for a night or two.
“Heavenly beds + heavenly showers = a great stay!”
I was really happy with our stay at the Westin. Service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. We will hopefully staying there again in the future. 24/7 shuttle service to and from the airport. It was perfect for people like us who had an early flight out.
“Wonderful Hotel at Atalnta Airport”
En route from Uganda to Seattle... didn't want a layover, but had to stay. Found this hotel on Expedia... what a blessing! I had reserved a JR Suite... if we were given a Jr Suite... WOW! It was beautiful! Surrounded by big windows on the 9th floor. Big sitting area, two TV's.. just lovely! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful... shuttle to and from the airport was wonderful! Restaurant was OK but not as upscale as the rest of the hotel. Would stay there again.
“Horrible Service...please don't stay”
In one single sentense "Horrible Service...please don't stay".
“You get what you pay for!”
Great deal for a Westin, but you get what you pay for. The hotel is located centrally close to the airport, so its extremely convenient to get to the airport if its a short trip to town. However, this Westin is very outdated to much of the other Westin properties I've stayed at previously. The overall appearance of the hotel was satisfactory as well as the room. The negatives were the rooms were all supposed to be non smoking, but did appear to have had a long time smokey smell, which could not be corrected. The second issue was they charge you $12.95 for the internet for 24hrs, but it only works on one device. The positives were an accommodating staff, and shuttle service to the airport\marta every 20 minutes at no cost.
“Needs to improve customer service”
We ran into a number of problems during our weekend stay. Although we had called ahead and notified the staff of our delayed flight, they did not hold our room even though they said they would. After having our cards re-keyed a couple of times we realized that the staff had booked us in a room that was already occupied. It took us over an hour to get into our room upon arrival. The front desk called our room by mistake at 4 a.m. one morning. Parking was a hassle as there is only one entrance and exit which is easily blocked by people who are having trouble with their parking tickets. Also we were not notified upon check-in that our parking ticket could be immediately charged to our room daily. The room was very nice and we enjoyed the facility, however the customer service was shocking for a 4 star hotel.
“Overpriced, poor service attitude, endemic to Atlanta”
Atlanta has a problem overall in it's lack pf perspective on what constitutes good service and value. It is still embarrassingly provincial and has few, if any, international sensibilities. I love Atlanta folks, but this Westin is an example of why Atlanta does not cut it as a world class destination. Yet. I hope they do their homework and raise the bar of excellence for themselves. The jacuzzi was filthy, and the next day the entire pool area was closed, so my grandkids could not swim. When I complained about the overpriced food and overall less than mediocre service, the manager argued with me. Eventually I was given a tiny credit, but honestly, it was not about the money. It was about not having been heard, and I don't think the management is in tune with broader national and international standards. My daughter's room was not cleaned. The restaurant feels like a cafeteria with no ambience of comfort whatsoever. I do not view this as the staff's fault. Their people obviously have had poor leadership and training from management. An overall pretty unpleasant stay of three nights. It was a combination business and family trip, and I wanted the convenience of being near the airport. The location was good, and that is about the best thing I have to say about it. Other Westins in the U.S. do a much better job, although I find their restaurants are almost always overpriced for what you get.
