This hotel is very swanky and a fun place to stay in Atlanta. Midtown neighborhood is also great with good restaurant selection.

Overpriced

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: The location of the hotel and gym.
Cons: Reduce prices for these sub par hotel rooms & facilities.
Location: Plenty of places to eat, and things to do . Public transportation was user friendly to come and go.
Booked through Expedia, found out I paid about $75.00 us,more than others. The room was small no tub, cheesy décor. No opening windows for ventilation.Inadequate facilities and amenities. No Jacuzzi ,Had to call to have gym supplied with water.Front desk would not grant starwoods program because I booked through expedia or convention rate.

W MIDTOWN PERFECT

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: EVERYTHING.
Cons: THE BATHROOMS: NO FAN! HENCE "STEAMY". NO SHOWER "GRAB" RAIL: COULD SLIP! NO SLIDING DOOR TO CLOSE THE SHOWER: "HALF DOOR" ODD!? WEIRD TOWEL RACK?
Location: IT WAS PERFECT FOR US SINCE THE INTERNATIONAL AA CONVENTION WAS, AT THE "DOME" AND WORLD CONGRESS CENTER, KEEPING US OUT OF THE CROWD OF 70,000 !
THE ATLANTA MIDTOWN STAFF WAS "LIGHTS OUT!!" PROMPT, EXTREMELY COURTEOUS, BOTH ON THE FLOOR AND IN DINING EXPERIENCE. GOOD MENU: FOOD VERY WELL DONE. SHAKIRA, OUR CONCIERGE WAS EXCELLENT: BOOKED TOURS, RESTAURANTS, EXTREMELY PERSONABLE AND PROFESSIONAL ALL THE WHILE BUSIER THAN A ONE ARMED PAPER HANGER AT A CONVENTION. THE CAR PORT STAFF WERE "SHARP", FRIENDLY AND GOT CABS, LOADED UNLOADED THEM SWIFTLY ...AND INSTEAD OF THE "BORED CAR PORT STAFF" THEY WERE ALL OF THE ABOVE INCLUDING "TIPS" ABOUT GETTING TO RESTAURANTS, USING AND GETTING TO "MARTA",ETC. I MEAN I WAS IMPRESSED WITH W MIDTOWN ATLANTA !!

Total Disappointment!

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: The only thing I liked about the W was it's midtown location
Cons: When you call the "whenever/whatever" button on the phone, the person that answers should actually care & take steps to fix the problem.
Location: Breakfast at the Highland Bakery is a must!
The room was a total disappointment! If you've stayed at other W Hotels, don't expect the same experience. Nothing in the room worked. The wi-fi wouldn't work, the room phone, even the entry bulbs were burnt out. Every time you'd close the bathroom door, large chunks of drywall fell to the floor. I really needed wifi so I could get my work done. Desk said they would send engineering up to see what was wrong, but no one ever showed. As a matter of fact, they didn't take care of any of the room issues other than 1 light bulb.

Nice hotel in midtown.

Very nice hotel and staff. The hotel's food was lackluster. The dj in the lobby in th weekends was too much for us, but I can understand how this might appeal to a younger crowd.

Perfect location in Midtown

Lots of things to do, walking distance to everything- Piedmont Park, Botanical Gardens, High Museum, restaurants, Marta trains. Great mix of residential & commercial. Felt very safe, and hotel felt very " the place to be"!
