“OK, but overrepresented!”

The is a reasonable, simple, no-frills motel about 8 miles from Atlantic City. Somehow, it is shown as a four star hotel on selection schedules (nowhere close) and is shown on Mapquest and other representations as being about 2 miles from Atlantic City. So - not bad, but not as good as it says it is.

“A pleasant, comfortable, convenient, and inexpensive stay”

From the moment I arrived, November 7, 2011, I had a pleasant experience. Paul, who is a family member of the owners, checked me in quickly and smoothly. He is very friendly and helpful. He asked me if I needed a map, which I did. The room was a non-smoking room, which was what I had requested. The TV worked well. The microwave and small fridge were in excellent condition. The king size mattress and pillows were comfortable enough. NO BEDBUGS! The shower and toilet worked well and were in good condition. However, the faucet for the sink was loose, and I had to baby it for fear that it would not stop running or leaking. I ended up having no serious problems with it. The room had three chairs and a table, the latter which had a marble top (classy). I stayed three nights and was happy I chose Travelodge for my stay. As it turned out, I didn't mind not staying right in Atlantic City. I'm really not a casino person, and a few hours there was enough. For me it was more convenient to stay in Absecon, which was closer to Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. I spent three beautifully sunny and warm November days at the Refuge, bicycling, hiking and birding. I love nature, and this wetland reserve was full of wildlife, especially waterfowl.

“For one night”

If you just need a place to crash for the night in AC this isn't a bad hotel. If you're spending you're vacation here I would reccommend spending a few extra $. The hotel itself needs a good upkeep, but it is clean. The hotel staff couldn't have been any nicer throughout our whole stay. Make sure you ask for more pillows because they're basically like sleeping on sandbags and there are no fitted sheets on the bed which I thought was extremely strange. Overall for a place to crash, not bad. But for a vacation I'd recommend somewhere else.

“So Not Worth It!”

This hotel is ok if you cant afford something better and really want to visit Atlantic City. I was disappointed from the moment i walked in because of the odor. I requested a non smoking rm but the smell of smoke hit me as soon as I opened the door. The carpet was in need of a wash which added to the odor in the room. The beds were also in need of a make over. The sheets and comforter appeared to be as old and used as the hotel. The complimenntary breakfast is a total waste of time! They only serve o.j. , cofee, corn flakes, and muffins! On a positive note the location is very convinient. Only a 10 minute ride to Atlantic City. The in room microwave, and mini fridge is also a plus.
