Would not stay there again!

The only positive was the room was clean. The furniture and fixtures were outdated. The towels were like burlap, what towels they gave you. There were 2 sitting chairs in the room that were covered with water?? stains. Not a good experience.

Nice big bed, Nice jetted tub clean

Pros: The jetted tub helped my back.
Cons: At least have a coffee maker in the room that would be nice.
Location: Down the street from the hotel was places to eat, 15mins away from the beach, close to the casino's, places to shop.
But it said on the web site that the hotel room would have a DVD player but it didn't. I check to see if it was a built in DVD player nope and when I asked the people in the office about it. They said I would have to pay $40.00 for the DVD player. The room had everything I paid for but that. The room was clean pleanty of tall's. Comcast table jetted tub big bed but no DVD player.

Hotel was close to all of the casinos n boardwalk. It's was good for the price. My husband and I had a jacuzzi in our room and the jets didn't work in it. They need to buy new towels as some of ours had holes in them.

The lady at the front desk was super rude and laughed at everything that was said. They didn't have change, our phone was broken stains on the chairs the blow dryer didn't work the tissue was almost gone. Only provided one towel for two people. It was awful I'll NEVER stay there again!

Expedia hotel reservation not honored

Made a reservation to stay overnight on a road trip back from dc. Arrived at the establishment to be told that all rooms were sold out. No apologies. Was literally shooed away from the reception desk. Had to sleep in the car with 2 kids.

Don't stay here if you don't have to

Booked for my son's regional track meet. First room was totally smokey with cigarette burns on the bedspread although the hotel says it was a smoke free room. The alternate room had flying bugs ( we killed them and moved on because at least the bed linen was clean). One bed was literally a sponge with a sheet on it. Do American Star Inn only if you absolutely HAVE TO.

overpriced and dirty room

Positives: clean sheets, clean towels. Besides that there is not much good to say about this room. Air conditioning is smelly but it functioned well. Shower was cleanish. Negatives: i wished I had rubber gloves to touch light switches, door handles, faucets, the toilet etc. The chairs were especially dirty, i didn't even want to put my bags on them. Having the sink outside of the bathroom is not super unusual but in this case just felt very dirty since you can't wash your hands immediately after using the toilet and so couldn't anyone else that has stayed there before. And just by looking at the dirty light switches, I don't think that door handles get cleaned either. I would never recommend this place and I won't ever stay there again!

I stayed here in January and it was acceptable as a low price hotel.... I stopped again in June for a last minute overnite, and was pleasantly surprised to see the rooms all had new paint and just seemed much nicer and cleaner than last time. I actually think I had the same room as last time so it was easy to compare. I could tell the guy at the front counter remembered me, and that's a nice touch when you are traveling away from home. would definitely recommend this place when you are on a budget.
