Comfy beds

Posted Jul 28, 2014
The room was nice and clean. The only issue is the floor in front of the air conditioner was soaked for some reason. I'd stay here again.

Cons: Staff was not very receptive to the fact that I had to go to 4 different floors to find a bottle of water.
Close to casinos, bed was comfortable, with fitted sheets...but the sheets didn't fit well and came off in the middle of the night. We had a king bed, maybe it was a California king with regular king sheets??? Not sure why, otherwise hotel was fine. Very easy access to downtown AC. Checkout at noon was really nice too.

Close to Atlantic City

Nothing to speak of in the immediate vicinity, however close enough to AC that it is worth the stay if you are budget conscious.

Good but i should have stayed on the boardwalk.

Posted Jul 23, 2014
The outside of the building looks very nice. The lobby and the bathrooms on the first floor need lots of updating. The rooms looked really nice but the furniture was scratched and the paint peeling off. The carpets were clean; feet weren't black after walking around barefoot. The bathroom on the other hand was very very dirty. I recommend that people always travel with lysol disinfectant wipes...went into the shower with my sandals just to be safe. The breakfast was good. Cold boiled eggs in a mini fridge with yogurts. Cereal, croissants, bagels, toast and pastries. Self make waffles blueberry or original. Orange cranberry apple juice milk and coffee. They also had sausage patties and warm fake looking flat eggs that go in a sandwich. I recommend you go to breakfast early in the morning to avoid the line and the crowds. Overall its a decent place to stay at but i would recommend a hotel room by the boardwalk. Atlantic city is not what it used to be. Its not a city that you look forward to seeing again because of its beauty unfortunately.

I should have known not to expect too much when I had to settle for a smoking room when I originally reserved a non smoking room. My room was decent until I stepped on the sticky spot on the carpet. Housekeeping was extremely slow (and all I asked for was new towels and wash clothes) on day 3 of my stay. I went to a friend's room on a different floor that had a non smoking room and thought I was in a different hotel altogether. Now if I had that room I would probably recommend this hotel to others but I didn't, so I won't. The free breakfast left a lot to be desired. ... you get what u pay for so....... and the hotel was VERY hot. Sweated all over my English muffin. Smh Hotel desk staff was nice

Lipstick on a pig

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: Tear it down and start over.
Location: convenient to AC casinos
Checked in ,room on top floor --only one slow rickety elevator working--finally got to room, keys don't work. Bedding has spots on it and doesn't look fresh. AC would wake the dead. Not worth half the price. Online pictures are a fraud!!!!

A nice surprise

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Price , cleanliness . The staff was very friendly and helpful .
Location: It is very close to AC . There is not much in walking distance but everything is a short drive
Decided to stay at this hotel at the last moment . Took a chance and was very surprised at what a great place to stay. the room was clean and had recently been redone . For the price this hotel cannot be beat . The only downfall would be that there are no places in walking distance. I would stay here again

An Adequate Place to Sleep

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Location was very convenient and close to Atlantic City attractions. Price was very competitive.
Cons: See above.
Location: See above - What I liked.
Check in was smooth. The staff was polite. The room was tidy and clean, but very worn and tired. Beds were comfortable. A/C unit was noisy. I was not expecting much, but the free continental breakfast was a disaster. It seemed like everyone in the hotel was there at the same time. Way over crowded for the space available. Total chaos, the crowd was pushy and rude, but the hotel staff seemed to try to keep up with the people and with the breakfast supplies, the "guests" were pushing and shoving their way around. The appliances (like toaster, etc.) did not seem to work. The eating area was not clean at all, anywhere, and not well maintained. The tables and even the windows were dirty. Outside, the sidewalks were very uneven and it would be easy to see how someone could slip and fall, even on dry pavement in the bright daylight. After the free breakfast, we could not leave soon enough.

Not what I expected for a Comfort Inn

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The staff was very nice, and they tried their best to accommodate us. The drive from the hotel into AC was painless as well.
Cons: The overall cleanliness and communication of hotel to guest in terms of room booking and preferences.
Location: The drive into Atlantic City was not bad, only 3 miles away. That was a plus.
I booked 2 rooms at this place thinking it would be cheaper than staying in the heart of the city. We were put in smoking rooms, when I specifically requested non smoking. I was only able to get one room changed to non-smoking, (on a different floor, however i requested the rooms next to each other) and our new room keys did not work. Twice. Once we actually got into the room, we discovered a bug in the bathtub, stains on the shower curtain and sheets. The staff themselves were very nice and tried their best to accommodate us, but it was just not enough to make up for the fact that our stay was sub par. I am especially surprised being that Comfort Inn is a reputable franchise. Better luck next time I guess.
