Harrah's is good

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: convenient a lot to do.
Cons: Pool could be cleaner. Blankets should be in the room.
Location: Beach not far.
The check in was reasonable, the room was clean but no blankets. The pool was nice but could have been cleaner. Overall a good experience.

nice hotel, the swimming pool is very nice

I like the hotel and the swimming pool is warm, However, the stuff are very rude, and they reserve the seats on the pool and is very hard to find a place to set

Nice 2 Know

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Our room was clean but could definitely use a remodeling, new carpet, new bed for the price we paid. Our room air conditioner was not working. Our room was like a sauna after taking two hot showers. We stayed 2 nights and on Sunday planned to go to infamous Harrahs pool for the afternoon to only find out there was a special event and could go in if we were willing to purchase tix for $50 per person. It would have been nice to know when I was making my reservation that the pool was extra. One of the main reasons we choose Harrahs was to use the pool. So we were less than satisfied with our stay.

Nice hotel, reminded me of a cruise ship

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The modern decor, cleanliness and services provided on site.
Cons: The family pool! For such a large luxurious resort the family pool was sad to say the least.
Location: Steel Pier, boardwalk and beaches!
My family and I recently visited Atlantic City for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised by the area and the hotel. The hotel is enormous with many stores, restaurants, casino, pools etc. They are situated along a long center corridor which reminded me of a cruise ship. You have to walk a lot to get from one area to another. There are several elevator blocks which take you to various floors of the different towers that make up the hotel. It was a bit confusing at first but you get used to it. Coming from Canada, we were not used to all of the smoking in public places and it really bothered my kids. Although I had asked for a non-smoking room, the first room we were given stunk of smoke and I had to strongly insist to switch rooms. The regular reception staff wasn't very helpful but once I got the manager it was worked out immediately. Make sure they know when you say non-smoking, you mean it. The one major draw-back of this hotel is the family pool. It was very small and hidden on the 4th floor of one of the towers. Compared to the luxurious adult pool (21 yrs ) on the ground floor of the main building, it was a real let down. My kids were so excited to swim when we were researching the hotel and saw this oasis advertised but it wasn't clear that it was only for adults. They didn't even bother going in the tiny family pool and opted to go to the beach instead. Overall, it was a very nice hotel.

Friendly staff

Got upgraded to a huge suite. Beautiful view and clean space. Too bad we were only staying one night. I don't like their policy of no outside food or drink in the rooms. If that's the policy, then what's the refrigerator in the suite for?
