The breakfast was awful. Who provides waffle, toast and cereal and call it contential breakfast. They had numerous ghetto signs up about not taking that nasty food to your room. I was afraid to sleep as the door didn't seem secure. .

Breakfast was disappointing, and not clean

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: location was close to atlantic city
Cons: needs the breakfast area cleaned and redone.
Hotel was ok, not well keep. Hallway by elevator and our room smelled like heavy smoking. Not much choice in breafast food, tables, rugs were dirty, not very well keep.

Eh

Sent us to two different rooms before finding a third one where the key actually worked. Lobby smelled of harsh chemicals. Room was basically clean though. Facility looks like it was probably magnificent when it opened 40+ years ago. Internet was down most of the time, hampering checkin.

Great money saving alternative.

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: close to AC. Affordable. Very friendly staff.
Cons: thin walls - can't help people coming and door slamming at all hours, it's Atlantic City.
Location: Bobby Flay Steak at the Borgata is a must.
we came in for a weekend to see a concert. larger hotel/casinos where $ 700-1200 for 2 nights. HoJo was $ 160 total. bathrooms are clean and newer then you;d expect. beds & towels are not plush but clean. everything worked. walls are thin so sleep was interrupted. overall Excellent value. 5 minutes to heart of AC.

Terrible experience

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: none
It was to much money for that type of room, it is smelly old building, I'm very deposited to pay more than $130.00 for a motel type, you should give me my money back and more for that sacrifice, we asked for not smoking room, but it seam that they improvised, it was my worse nightmare.

Nice location, easy access to high way. Room spacious, needs more detail to drapery care, they did not fully close, the carpet appeared as if it need to be cleaned, beautifully upholstered headboard also was dusty. Wi-fy was good, Breakfast room was clean and choices adequate. Big excersice room and pool room Would recommend and return

Worst Howard Johnson hotel ever!

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Customer service.
Location: We went for a wedding.
We registered for a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) and checked in around 9:30pm. There was only (1) pillow on each bed for a total of two pillows for (4) people. We called the front desk and Sahid told us there were no "extra" pillows available and just hung up!. We checked out within the hour and thanks to Expedia, we were able to find a better hotel nearby.

Staff is nice. The people staying there aren't. If ur visiting Atlantic city and wanna stay here. Don't. Go somewhere else.
