Howard Johnson Inn - Atlantic City

The picture of the hotel is a little misleading. It was in fact within a short walk to the boardwalk but it was also in a not so good neighborhood. Across the street was an old church but next to that church was a woman's homeless shelter and on the other corner was a massage place that didn't seem to close at all (jump to your own conclusion). For me and my wife it wasn't to bad but if I was a smaller guy I'm not sure I'd be ok staying here. The hotel itself wasn't bad but the front desk guy wasn't friendly enough to even say hello in response to me and if you didn't pull your room door right it wouldn't close. Good luck

If you like cigarette holes in your sheets in a non-smoking room, paint chipping off the walls, people screaming all hours of the night, swimming pools drained with chairs stacked it in them, next to NO parking, a "tip" envelope in the hotel room for the house keepers and rust coming out of the faucets, this is the hotel for you.

I had a great stay at Howard Johnson it was clean the staff was excellent will I go again yes I will if anybody wants to go down to Atlantic City I would highly recommend Howard Johnson.

the area is not great but minutes away from everything

We got to the hotel about an hour early and we were allowed to get into our room early. The room was clean. Overall a good experience

Not a place to bring your mrs. . If your looking for a cheap place to stay with your buddies, this is it. Nothing fancy, clean rooms, rough neighborhood, but your car should be safe in there parking lot. Staff will help out with anything you need.

I was very pleased with everything. Especially for the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....Location was good. Room was clean. Diner was great!!.....And there was parkiing!!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a one-night stay to attend a concert. I would not recommend this hotel for families. It's in a dangerous, sketchy, and grim area. Thank goodness I was with my strong boyfriend for the walk to the boardwalk. The only amenity the hotel has is cable. The vending machines are bare. Our actual room was pretty clean (some questionable stains on our top blanket and on the ceiling. The bed was so comfortable! The only modern aspect of this hotel is the misleading nice lobby. The guy at the front desk was rude, but let us check in early.
