“very old/But clean”
the hotel was directly in front of the big name casinos. Parking was very tricky , they have their own parking , but it is limited so they quide you on parking.Check in was easy. The hotel is very old, so expect to see old furnishings and kind of an old smell to the place. But everything is well kept, and unbeilevably clean. I have stayed in four star hotels that werent as clean. Our balcony view was to old run down apartments, not very inviting. It was quiet inside, but the street noise was annoying as it was constant.I was not happy with the door lock , it didnt seem to latch all the way, so we proped a chair against it at night. If you are looking for a very cheap deal , and want it to be clean, for like one night , its doeable.
“Philly boardwalkers 2011”
Red Carpet Hotel is close to everything in AC. However we were there the week before the 4th of July. The price was great but the air conditioner motor was keeping us up,. When I called the front desk I was told I couldn't switch rooms and also told that someone would be there to fix the air conditioner( no one came). The ice machine was broke when got there on Monday it didn't get fixed til thursday again the front desk told us "they" have an agreement with the hotel "across the street" so we could take our ice bucket across the street and get ice. To top this week off some strange guy asked for our room # at 7am waking us up saying that he was looking for someone else, talk about security my husband immediately went out to check our car to make sure it was ok...We wont be going back there again.
