Couple of days away

Had been to a wedding at this hotel. Loved it and love tje area. Went to Smithville (great little shopping village) and Atlantic City. We also took a ride to CapeMay. Love everything about Hotel. Rooms could be a little updated.

Arrived late; bar closed too early for a country club/hotel; room smelled old; placed in handicap room with no bath tub

Cons: BREAKFAST RATES, FRONT DESK PERSONAL,ADVISE FROM STAFF
Location: THERE ARE SMALL SHOPS NOT FAR AWAY,A NICE LITTLE PUB ACROSS THE STREET AND THE GOLF COARSES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.
STAFF GAVE MISLEADING INFORMATION ABOUT TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM CASINOS (THEY WILL TAKE YOU BUT NOT PICK YOU UP) , BREAKFAST RATES ARE OUTRAGIOUS, ( 18.95 ) PER PERSON,PER DAY, THEY ALSO PREFER TO DO THERE BUILDING MAITANANCE AT 7;00 AM WHILE YOUR TRYING TO SLEEP, THE GOLF COARSES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION AND REASONABLY PRICED, GOLF ATTENDENTS ARE VERY COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL, FRONT DOOR PERSONEL WERE FRIENDLY AS WELL. BAR STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AS WELL.

Pros: I loved that there was a large indoor pool; when it rained, we went inside. Outdoor pool was beautiful!
Cons: Decor is old and some upkeep is needed.
Location: Location is great. Short drive to the boardwalks.
Very pretty, historic hotel. The grounds were very pretty, and the location was perfect. It is a golf resort, and we don't golf, but we loved it just the same.

Family Getaway

Pros: Entrance please by feeling that we're in palace.
Cons: Game room, furnitures of room, decor.
Location: AC is about 15 minutes away and ocean city is about the same.
Hotel was not bad at all, for the price that we paid, but it could be much better.

Very mediocre hotel...

Pros: Not much.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Located near nothing. It is on a golf course.
They didn't have our room ready until after 7 pm, and they never called us like they said they would. I had to go back to the front desk to ask.

Hotel with old fashion style and service.

Pros: Found it on Expedia.
Cons: Would have preferred more outdoor dining, because the weather in August was not typical and wanted to sit outside and enjoy the lovely breeze.
Location: I played golf and swam and read my summer fiction by the pool. Found two beaches where my dog could run off leash.
The Stockton is marvelous, and far exceeded my expectations. I can't wait until my next visit. This is a lovely property has beautiful grounds and two wonderful golf courses. The staff are friendly, helpful and most of all locals who know their community and can make recommendations on where to eat or visit. My room was large overlooking the pool with a nice sliding glass door. Beds where very comfortable with nice linens and comforters, and bath was stocked with big fluffy towels. I had several meals in the resturant including two terrific salads with very fresh ingredients and nice presentation. I found the prices very reasonable. Thank you to all the Stockton staff, especially Lucy my who cleaned my room and was so happy to see my dog each day. Yes, this is a dog friendly property!

Great staff!

The staff at this hotel is excellent! We called only an hour in advance of when we checked in to request a mini fridge, which they happily provided. They also helped us plan our day and gave us great recommendations. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Overall we had a very relaxing stay, and we'd highly recommend this resort.

The hotel is very nice. Definitely can tell and smell, at times, that it is old. Not a bad experience at all!! Enjoyed our stay.
