Good Place To Stay If Traveling With Family

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Nicely decorated and comfortable lobby, breakfast in the main dining room, game room, and pool. Also, the wings at the bar/restaurant were tasty.
Cons: I really can't think of anything.
Location: Beach towns such as Avalon, Stone Harbor and Cape May are in driving distance; Smithville; Cape May zoo; Storybook Land.
We had a very nice stay at the Stockton Seaview. We met up with my sister's family. The pleasant common areas including the spacious and nicely decorated lobby, the game room, and pool make this a nice place to stay if you are with kids or meeting up with friends even if visiting "off-season."

Go out of your way to stay here

Posted Nov 30, 2014
When there are too many people staying at the Family beach house in Ventnor, my husband and I escape to the Seaview Hotel to sleep! I hate staying in Gotham (Atlantic City) so we go out of the way a bit to stay here. It is more Inn-like then hotel. The front desk staff is warm and welcoming. It reminds me of the Nittany Lion Inn at Penn State. The standard rooms are clean and comfortable. Just perfect. Breakfast food was just ok. Our server complained the whole time about having to work.

Delightful hotel.

Posted Nov 26, 2014
I would refer to the Seaview as a grand old hotel that we enjoyed thoroughly. The lobby and dining areas are gracious and upscale. The rooms while comfortable need to be modernized and upgraded. Little things are becoming apparent, such as bathroom sink drains, heating and air conditioning in the rooms and paint beginning to peal.

Can't wait to go back!

Posted Nov 21, 2014
My boyfriend and I stayed here recently after a wedding at the Smithville Inn. We stayed in a deluxe king room and we were thrilled. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bedding was SO comfortable! I loved that their was a big window in the bathroom...natural light in the bathroom is a rare find with hotels. Our only complaint was a group of extremely loud (and vulgar!) men in the room next door early in the morning. We weren't sure, but had a feeling they were working for the hotel, contractors perhaps? Overall we had a great experience. The hotel and the grounds were beautiful. Wish we had been there longer than one night! Can't wait to go back!!

Old style grace

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Setting
Cons: Microwave and Fridge in room
Location: Summer golf and Atlantic City. Winter fireplace and cocktail.
Although centered around Golf, the Stockton Seaview is a gracious old fashioned resort with modernized rooms, a nice pub-type restaurant and an elegant restaurant. There is an indoor heated pool. The rooms do not have microwave and fridge but they are comfortable. If you like old style hotels at a reasonable price about 15-20 minutes from Atlantic City but hours away from the honky-tonk, try this hotel. There is a 10.70 resort fee added to the cost but services such as Expedia give good room discounts.

Cons: The thermostat in our room was definitely not working properly because it was 75 degrees & couldn't be turned down to lower the temperature.
We had a beautiful weekend at Stockton Seaview with our family for my mother's 70th birthday, and we were all very pleased with the accomodations & your staff friendliness. :) Excellent Sunday brunch also!

Nice place to stay close to Atlantic City

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The bedding and towels were were high quaility. Golf course and other amenities great
Cons: bathroom in need of update, worn carpeting in halls, dirty ceiling in main dining room around chandelier/ac vent
Location: good alternative to staying in casinos when visiting Atlantic City
Had enjoyed staying here 5 years ago, but noticed that this time the facility seemed a bit tired and worn.
