Food for the price
Posted Jan 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
It's a motel. Good for the price. A place to lay your head. If your in the area for work and need a room with a kitchen it's the only one. Don't expect much if you are staying here for vacation. Again good for the price. Beds were comfortable. Shower was hot. It's not 5 star but what fo you want gor 35$ a night

Adequate motel when needing shelter
Posted Jan 4, 2012
Pros: Kept fair rates and didn't lose power during storm. Rates lower than any surrounding motels.
Cons: Not well-kept, a bit noisy if neighbors are loud.
Location: West end of Absecon on US 30. However, can
The motel is run by elderly East Indian couple who have some problems with English. However, they are fair and good people. We were stuck there because of hurricane Sandy and they did not up the room rate when we had to stay longer. They were giving weekly rates to families upended by storm. The motel is not well-kept and the maid service was barely adequate. The maid had difficult time communicating with us. Our room had 2 burner stove, refrigerator, sink and microwave. It would have been possible to cook meals if there for long time. If in a crunch and needing to hide from future storm I would go back. Their breakfasts consisted of locally-bought rolls, coffee, hot water and orange juice. However, the rates were lower than some other motels.

Things Not Always as They Appear
Posted Jan 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
We needed to stay as close to the airport as possible, since we arrived at ACY at midnight and car rental counters are closed down. The motel's distance from airport says 2.5 miles in their write-up, but it is actually a $25 to $30 cab ride from the airport. The only way it could be 2.5 miles would be if you were a bird. There were gobs of hair in the tub, hair in the bed, cigarette burns in the sheets of the no smoking room, etc. The manager waited on us in his pajamas and projected the image that he could care less if anyone stayed at his facility. We had booked it for a 2nd night on the return leg of our trip, but there was no way my wife would go back and I agreed. Try another place, you could not do any worse.

The place was close to all that we wanted to do. We have a large family (6 of them 21 to 15) and a dog. We had a christening to go to and wanted to bum around also, we were ther for 3 days. I read the reviews and knew what I was getting into. Brought plenty of towels, cups, plastic and paper products. Didin't expect to have any dishes or cookwear, but the kitchenette was prefect for lunchmeats and drinks. We got leftovers from the christening too. We went to the lighthouse, beach, boardwalk, nature trails and seashell museum. All of which were about 30 min away. Yes, there were burn marks on the counters and the hair dryers didn't work, (3 girls, brought their own) but I wasn't paying 5 star rates to get 5 star rooms. The money I saved went into the 'fun fund'. I learned a long time ago, don't sweat the small stuff.

short stay

The hotel is what you would expect for a reasonalble rate. Kitchen was clean but no pots and pans provided...Need to add additional towels and tissue boxes...Needs a long Mirror for dressing. The front desk were very nice people however the incents burning is not for everyone and should be kept in their personal space....

This place was a dump.

The people who run the place were nice, however the decor is very outdated, the carpet, and linen's are old, and the place smelled musty and dirty. The bathroom, had cigarette burns on the counter top. I booked it because I couldn't leave the dog at home alone, but I had to bath him the second I got home, because I found a bug in his blanket when I got home.

Horrible hotel

Everything was filthy! The most unpleasant stay I ever had! It also had the worst smell! I would have rather slept in my truck!
