Surpisingly Disappointing

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The decor and food (from the little I had).
Cons: room floors and quality control
Location: Good location with plenty to do.
The hotel is very nicely decorated in the lobby and rooms. The room floor leaves a bit to be desired. When I stepped out of the elevator to the 6th floor it had a pretty strong mold odor. The room was very nice but when I finally went to shower after a long night the towels had gashes on them and were stained with what appeared to be make-up foundation. Needlesstosay I air dried.

Stay was okay. The walls are paper thin so you hear your neighbors entire conversation. Valet was ridiculously slow, took 10 mins to bring car. It cost $10 to valet park, either pay that or you have to find street parking (good luck with that)

Its close to the beach

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Cons: The person at the front desk needs to be more prepaired to answer questions. He seemed confused.
There is a lot to do near by. The outlets are only minutes away.

Chelsea Hotel

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Cleanness, staff, closeness to boardwalk
Cons: N/A
Location: The boardwalk is right next to the hotel, so the sky is the limit on what to do there
I stayed at the Chelsea because it was very close to boardwalk hall since I was seeing a concert there. I did not know what to expect when I arrived at the hotel but when I did the main lobby was beautiful. The staff was friendly and welcoming. When I arrived to my room, it was very clean and cozy. The bed was super comfortable too! The fifth floor restaurant was beautiful as well! Overall, the hotel was amazing!

Chelsea

Posted Mar 29, 2015
The Chelsea had a great room, bed, bathroom and was very clean. However, it was a busy weekend and the hotel staff had a very slow check-in and checkout process. They also had trouble honoring my reservation made through Expedia, it took them around an hour to process the request.

Too Rowdy A Crowd

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Comfortable, clean room. Good location.
Cons: More security in lobby in the evenings.
On the positive: Comfortable, clean room. Delicious room service breakfast -- arrived hot and on time. On the negative: Room service hours are too limited. Hotel seems to draw a rowdy crowd. I was met at the door by a fellow guest who was drinking out of an open case of beer. Not a family hotel.

Never Again

Posted Mar 23, 2015
It took over an hour to check in. We had to change rooms because the initial room we were given had not been cleaned. VERY NOISY! Complained at least four times and requested to have our room changed. Room change was denied. Water in the shower was lukewarm, at best. Would not stay at this hotel again.

Overall Decent Experience

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Valet
Cons: Room Service Hours, attention to detail
Location: Taxi's were $13 max, so getting around wasn't awful. It's not very far away from anything. Walking distance from the Tropicana.
The valet employees were very kind and helpful. That's the only above average experience I had at this hotel, period. When checking in, I informed the desk that I had purchased two SEPARATE nights through Expedia. (I used my own card for the first night, and used my business card for the second. They were SUPPOSED to make a note that I would NOT have to check out the first night to be put into another room the next day. They were also supposed to charge me ONE security deposit fee but ended up charging two. On top of that, we were woken up the first morning by an employee walking into our room telling us we were late for checkout even though we booked 2 nights. Room service ends at 10pm. Nothing is open when the hotel restaurants close.
