Didn't get room expected

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Expected chairman tower, in taj tower. Pool shut all Monday due to chemical change, should be done at nite. Would like more beach themed restaurants, ice cream shop, fun places to eat.

Nice, clean and comfortable

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Check in was quick and easy, allowed to check in early as they had rooms already available and staff really pleasant to deal with.
Cons: Needs to have another bar open and signage for finding the bar that was open was poor.
Actual accommodation really good for a Casino hotel, clean room and good facilities in the room. Price reasonable in comparison with similar hotels on the Boardwalk. Casino was deathly quiet all week which is a sign of the times in Atlantic City I'm afraid and as few players the payouts are very low. My personal spend on the machines was lower than any of the last 6 years of visiting due to lack of atmosphere, lack of winning spins and therefore less time spent in the casino. Can't understand why they are still advertising their Buffet online, in the weekly paper and on the tanoy system...this is closed and has been on both occasions we have stayed in the hotel. Great Buffet next door at Showboat but that will be lost when the hotel closes next month so beware of this as the Buffet is a major attraction for many visitors. Also be aware that the Rob Lake show, advertised on the Taj entertainment boards as being 8pm to 10pm is nothing like that. We went to opening night and he started 8.02 and finished at 8.58. Not a bad show but not as advertised and at 30 dollars a head not goddess value for money. I suggest Beatlemania at Trump Plaza as a much better alternative. In summary a good place to stay for the accommodation but less so for eating, drinking and entertainment.

Smell

Posted Jul 7, 2014
The smell of indian food was terrible. Couldnt even breath while walking down the hallways. The carpets can use a cleaning. And staff can be a little more helpful and friendly

Cheap and good for one night stay.

Pros: Robert Half's steakhouse was nice and the bar next to live entertainment has everything you need. Liked the proximity to the Boardwalk as well.
Cons: Price for parking, usually it's $5 bucks upon leaving. They charge a whole $15 and garage is crappy and looks as if it is falling apart.
Location: Boardwalk, steel pier, Landshark Beach Bar is all near by.
Stayed here because price was right in comparison to other hotels; however, prefer the Golden Nugget or Harrah's if I could get them at a good price. The room was fine, but it was missing a hotel directory. They must have moved it to an online/television based system; however, it was "under construction." Security hardly checked to see if you had a room key. Coffee machine didn't even have mugs (Styrofoam cups) and there was a slight stain on the bed footer.

One night stay

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: LOCATION!!!! RIGHT ON THE BOARDWALK & BEACH.
Cons: More family friendly restaurants ... kids not much in to sushi.
Location: Directly on the boardwalk and amusement park and the beach. Don't have to go far to find things to do. U can walk to everything.
We stopped in NJ on our way to NY. Hotel was in the PERFECT location. The hotel was beautiful and clean. Did not care for the eating establishments inside the hotel. Did not get to eat at the buffet since it closed at 8pm....never seen a buffet at a casino close so early.

Stayed twice in Chairman Towers. Very clean.

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness of the entire facility and location to beach area.
Location: End of boardwalk but rooms in Chairman Tower are large and very clean, worth the walk. 3 casinos in area plus Steel Pier.
Chairman Towers is exceptional. Rooms are large, very nice, coffee-maker, and refrigerator. Casino is large and clean. Pool on 14th Floor and beach right outside. Nice places to eat, café, Hard Rock, White House Sub, burger places along with buffet and a couple other eating places. Will definitely stay on return trip. Never stayed in TAJ Towers but stayed in Chairman Towers three times and will stay there again.
