Nice view but tired rooms

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: We had a nice view of the Atlantic City boardwalk.
Cons: Redecorate!
Location: Lots of shops & restaurants in the Tropicana Casino. Highly recommend spending some time exploring them.
Our room was in the Havana Tower. Wallpaper was dated looking and peeling off the wall in spots. The carpet was stained underneath the window. Bed was comfortable but there was no comforter, just a blanket sandwiched between 2 top sheets. The room refrigerator was housed in a cabinet next to the bed and the cabinet was so scraped that bare wood was showing at the bottom. This also meant that the person sleeping on that side could hear the refrigerator cycling. The bedside cabinet on other side of the bed was a cabinet meant to house another mini fridge, but empty so it was a blank space with carpet showing. Overall disappointed with the fit & finish of the room, but it was clean.

I loved my stay at the Tropicana.

The hotel was amazing. The view of the ocean was amazing. I just didn't like that I had to travel down 15 floors to get my food. All of the food places in the casino were closed so I had to order out but they wouldn't let the delivery guy up to my room. That was a major inconvenience to me.

A city within a city.

Pros: If you're looking for entertainment this is a great place for it. You don't even need to leave the resort unless you want to go to the beach.
Cons: The casino is pretty small; it was way too many slot machines and not enough tables.
I was in AC for a conference. Tropicana had a great room rate and lots of dining and entertainment options. Overall, great experience!

No comforter on the bed, took forever to get my bags, and no lights in the bathroom to include horrible water pressure...no thanks!

Annoyed that you have to pay to use the gym which is very small. Otherwise had a good time.

Very hard to get around.

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: The casino and the food was great.
Cons: Better organized and try to make it easier to locate sections of the hotel. The rooms shouldn't make located in 3 different areas of the hotel.
It took my wife and I an hour to find parking and to locate the front desk to check-in to our rooms. The hotel maps were little help and there was very little staff available to help us find our way. We had to follow other guests with luggage in order to find the front desk. It took us 45 minutes to locate our room due to poorly drawn maps provided to the guests.
