“A few minor problems.”

My mom and her husband actually came to town for my son's High School graduation. I booked the hotel to make sure it was close by and easy to get to our house and grad ceremonies. Well my mom hates cats and unfortunately there were a couple of cats hanging around all weekend to meet and greet them in the morning and at night. Otherwise everything was acceptable and clean. They did enjoy the breakfast that was included.

“Just ok but would stay again”

I only have one complaint with this hotel. I got locked in the bathroom due to a door malfuntion after only shutting the door not locking it and had to be let out by Maintenance. The door was removed after about 10-15 minutes and a new one had to be put back in place. Just glad one of our granddaughters 5 and 6 were not the ones to get locked in! I must say the breakfast the next morning was great!

“Nice for the money!”

The room was hot. The air took all night to cool off.

“Lexington Review”

Beds were horrendously hard! Breakfast wasn't worth the money. Not enough towels. Bathrooms need updating. Location was good.

“Not Impressed”

Although listed as close to the Auburn campus, you are four miles away so not really convienent. The first day there even though we were gone from the room from 9:00 am to 6:00pm the room was never made up. The last night there was a couple of loud drunks that were out by the pool till 2:00 am. Staff kept trying to deal with them but just added to the noise.

“You get what you pay for”

This hotel is very conveniently located to Auburn University. It is old, a bit rundown but the rooms are basically clean and adequately appointed. Continental breakfast is mediocre at best but the price is reasonable and the staff is friendly and courteous.

“Average”

The second floor smelled like a ashstray and I had a Non-smoking room. Great for business travelers trying to pinch pennies otherwise average at best

“Improvement suggestions”

Hotel is very dated, plastic plants from 70s and decor should be updated. Elevator smelled old and musty. I woke up with horrible sore throat and stuffy nose, perhaps air conditioner filter needs changing. Breakfast was a nightmare as the waffle station is very popular and had the line backed up, perhaps separating waffle station from buffet as Hampton does is a more streamlined idea for better flow. We chose to get breakfast outside of hotel 2nd morning for mid constraint.

“It was what it was...”

The hotel was simply a place to lay my head while in town for my college homecoming. Overall, the room was clean, save the toilet that had urine stains on it. Gross! The beds were more of an oversized twin than doubles. I really wasn't inclined to do anything but wash my face and I wish I had brought my own towels for that. I don't know whether it was the water all the towels but there was a very strong smell of bleach that, although is an indicator that it might've been used heavily, was also very off-putting. If next year I am not able to secure a room at another nearby location, then I will consider Lexington. But only as a last resort!
