clean apartment and helpful staff

Posted Mar 27, 2015
It's quite a walk to any of the sites of Auckland. A bit of a strange atmosphere with an electic mix of old fashioned Indian restuarant on the ground floor and modern design elsewhere. However the Indian does lovely take away!

Terrible service and knowledge of staff

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: The location of the room was ok and the rom itself was ok.
Cons: Staff's attitude towards guests and knowledge and helpfulness
Location: Location is ok and it is near the shopping area pier restaurant area
Booked the hotel for 2 plus 2 nights. 2 nights before an excursion to another island and would return for another 2 nights stay. They refused to store my oversize luggage for me during my one week away from Auckland. And I booked the hotel thru Expedia with a definite free Wifi option coz I really need to use my computer for work and I always choose a hotel with free Wifi provided; however the hotel staff asked me to choose a 2 GB for one week plan for $20 saying they would give me the $20 credit. I only used the Wifi for emails and it was disconnected after 24 hours. When I asked the staff , they said I had to pay $ if I need further Wifi service. This is insane. Another thing was, when I checked in, no staff told me that the check out time was 10 a.m. (which is earlier than normal hotel check out time) Then when I check out at 11 a.m., they insisted I had to pay $10 extra for the late check out. Further, during our stay when we asked about info about Auckland transportation, all info given to us by staff was incorrect.

good location

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: the room
Cons: the lobby
Location: near water and museum
I wanted to be able to walk on the waterfront and use the bus to go to the museum. The location was perfect for both.

Very well located close to ferry terminals

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Plenty of room for two couples. Good facilities and location
Cons: Bedrooms need to be individually air conditioned. Front bedroom was very hot in the mornings. Second bedroom was completely internal.
Location: Very good location. Close to ferry terminals for trips to Davenport and Waiheke Island. Great Japanese Restaurant just around the corner.
Located in a good position close to the Port Precinct, ferry terminals and excellent restaurants.

Pros: Within walking distance of center city and the harbor front.
Good overnight before catching airplane to U.S. Room was much larger than we needed, but the space was welcome.

Somewhat disappointing.

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Replace carpet and couch.
Location: Asian food nearby. Easy 10 min walk to wharf. Two blocks from a strip club block and hostel.
Stayed here in February 2015 for three nights. Staff was very helpful and friendly. No free wifi. No maid service unless you stay for four nights. Smelled of curry. Carpet in room is dirty. I had to take a sheet from the spare bed to cover the couch and had to walk in my sandals. Bathroom and kitchen newer and clean. They just need to replace the carpet and couch. Hallways look run down. Location is nice easily walkable to Britomart and Queen St for shopping.

Perfect!

We had a 1 bedroom apartment and it was huge and very reasonably priced. It was walking distance to the Britomart and the rest of the city. Close to the waterfront and all the nice restaurants. The staff were friendly and I have nothing negative to say.

2nd Stay not so great as the first!!!

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: Rooms are nice
Cons: Customer Service, Parking a fair distance from the hotel
Location: Great 24hr restaurant up the road called Char Grill
My second stay, this time with my Family which includes an infant. Hotel Lobby was flooded at check in, which caused 3 days of little to no hot water, when we did have hot water the pressure was extremely low on the 12th floor and the water was very discoulored like muddy water not ideal when looking after an infant. Staff at the front desk were not so great in communicating the issue or resolving the problem with the water. No compensation was offered either for the lack of hot water for almost the entire duration of our stay. Apart from that, the room was nice, car parking a 10min walk away.
