“Great Hotel, highly recommended.”

This is a great Hotel in the heart of Auckland. The "room" I stayed in was actually more like an apartment with sweeping views of the harbour and the City. Right near Queen Street with all the restaurants and night life. And it was very quiet. I did not understand the comments from other reviewers saying it was in a seedy red light district area. Unless they found the *one* Striptease Club for Gentleman across the street offensive. This is a great hotel with many families staying there as well:I saw many people with kids in strollers. Anyway I had a great time there and I highly recommend this place.

“Stunning Auckland Views, excellent location”

A friend and I stayed here for two nights in a one bedroom apartment. We were on the 34th floor, so the views alone made the room. The continental breakfast supplied was very good and the room was very clean and well maintained with all the ammenities needed. Great location - make sure you get burgers from the White Lady around the corner - and felt very secure as the building and floors only had swipe card access. Would be more than happy to recommend and stay again.

The area is very central, and the hotel was excellent. The staff on Reception and cleaning were excellent.

Lots of road works - but they wont be there for good i assume. The hotel has a different name to whats advertised (I stay ) which made finding it harder - but if you say " I stay " the taxi person will know.

“3nights stay in Auckland”

Friendly staff Cont/bfast nice to have free would have liked jam with roll. Oat bisc dry no variation av. but was able to change yoghurt flavour fr custard to fruit yog. handy to bus . Dissapointing not to have a swim as pool only had steps to top edge none into pool which meant would have been v difficult to get out!!! young guests can jump in & out no doubt, stayed here previously & made the same reguest for aladder.

“Pleasantly surprised”

I was plesantly surprised by the room. Its 5 star quality. Newly refurbished. Couple of downsides : 1. The pillows. Like sleeping on a slab of concrete. 2. No airconditioning therefore had to have the sliding doors open for air 3. Outside noises were disturbing with clubs blasting music and people shouting at night. I was on the 12th floor and because the sliding doors were open, had no peace.

we stayed on night for a concert in Auckland and it was perfect. Clode walk to the Civic and the bars afterwards!

“Great Location”

Very convenient location in a side street a few minutes' walk from Queen St. Be aware that the hotel is VERY badly signed outside - nothing at all indicates that you're standing outside the Harbour Oaks hotel. It looks for all the world like a residential apartment building - which it is, but some of the smaller apartments are let out as hotel accommodation. This means that the rooms have cooking and laundry facilities - very handy.

“roger waters concert stay”

the hotel was ok staff friendly ,helpfull , the room was comfy very warm heaps of room to move about would recommend to any one wanting to at this motel . the motel is about a 10 min walk to the vectra stadium

“Great Views, Easy Access to Town and Harbour.”

This hotel has great and easy access to the Aukland downtown and Harbour area. Superb views of the harbour, city and Sky Tower (we were on the waterfront side of the hotel, 29th floor). However a bit of the wrong end of town...with strip bars etc. Also a lots of road works going on in the street below at the time of our visit. Although we booked for 2 adults and 1 child on Expedia, we were given a room that only slept 2. It was 1 bedroom, and the couch was not a pullout. The hotel was annoyed by this, but they did agree to open the second bedroom that had a single bed in it for our son to sleep, at no extra charge.
