Very close to Sky Tower and Queen StreetPosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Central location good breakfast good room size and very clean
Cons: Could do with a lick of paint a little bit dated but all in all a great place to stay
Location: Close to Sky tower, Queen street, Lord Nelson pub next door does excellent food, airport bus close by.
Very enjoyable stay in a centrally located hotel, no porters in hotel so would have to manage your own bags, rooms nice plenty of space with a small kitchen and microwave

a tight squeezePosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The hotel is in a good position opposite the Sky tower
Cons: clean the carpets and take down the partitions
Location: The hotel is in a good position opposite the Sky tower, however I think I would rather walk further than stay in this hotel again.
I booked a two bedroom family room, when we checked in we were told we had been upgraded to a two bedroom apartment, when we arrived in the rooms the lounge had stains on the carpet, my adult son had to move the bed in his room just to close the door,to reach the wardrobe in our bedroom we had to roll the bed out of the way and then roll it back to get into bed, the 2 bedrooms shared a window (a partition had divided the room). It seemed as if they had tried to cram in more rooms than there was space. then to cap it all we were next to the lift shafts and all night we could hear the lifts going up and down. The hotel is in a good position opposite the Sky tower, however I think I would rather walk further than stay in this hotel again.

Just OK - Needs a MakeoverPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Good location, staff helpful. Paid for WIFI - reasonable cost and worked well.
Cons: Entire hotel needs makeover. Room needs floors, kitchenette & furniture replaced immediately. Very noisy at night-new windows needed (room on 8th flr)
Location: Sky Tower very close - 2 min. walk. Walking distance to Viaduct Harbour with many restaurants. Close to shopping on Queen St.
This hotel was just OK. Upon arriving the lobby set the tone for the rest of the hotel. Dark, dreary and old. The entire hotel needs a make over. We are not fussy or picky travellers. Just looking for comfort. 1st day there was a foul odour in the room and the hallway. Staff explained it was cooking of other guests. The carpet in the room needs to be replaced ASAP. It was dirty, discoloured and old. Tiles on the floor also need replacing - cracked & broken. Bedrooms and bathroom were ok but the rest of the room, including the furniture need replacing. We were not comfortable sitting on sofa and chairs in living room. Our room was on the 8th floor and at night you could hear all the noise from the street below very clearly. Upgrades need to be made before we could ever recommend this hotel to anyone or return ourselves.

Clean modern central HotelPosted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Good clean facilities at a fair price
Cons: There was a heater/air conditioner in bedroom which was abit old.
Location: Aotea Square, Queen St, Not too far to Museum, Hospital
We found this hotel very pleasant, modern and clean. It was very good allowing 1 pm check in and accomodating our vehicle as we didnt realise you had to book a carpark also. We were warned of the small carparks and this was true but we left our keys so that our car could be moved to allow others to leave. All and all a very reasonable cost to stay in central Auckland with all the facilites in clean good order.
