Overnight stayPosted Sep 16, 2014
1st experience was being told "did we just book today" as front desk couldn't find our booking at 1st. "No smoking on balcony" was bazaar considering that's why we booked a suite with a balcony. Checking out next day I was asked to pay $145, too which I said I'd already payed $175 online and was it suppose to be $145? She said she'll check. She simply said "All good" I said well not "All good" if I'd payed more than I should.

Overnight Stay at Barclay SuitesPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: The suites were great, an ensuite off each room.
Cons: Parking suituation
Location: very close to queen street and sky tower which was very handy
We came up to Auckland to stay overnight. The Hotel was very nice and the rooms excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was with parking, the hotel did not have its own parking but Wilson parking building was next door though at a cost of $34 for the night.

The Barclay Suites were extremely close to the middle of town, meaning that you can walk anywhere in the central city. The room was spacious and provided everything and more, the balcony was a nice touch. The hotel staff were okay, not overly friendly but a very small negative amongst several positives!

Excellent hotel.Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Pleasant and very helpful staff. Excellent location within easy access to restaurants, shops etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable with all amenities.
Cons: It would have been nice to have free WiFi especially as travellers need to keep in touch with family. Most hotels offer this service for free.
Location: Location very central. We mostly drove miles out to enjoy the countryside.
Enjoyed our two day stay and were very comfortable. Staff were cordial and very helpful.
