High on EnclosurePosted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Private escape with just the right amount of intervention by the host. Beautiful views that could be experienced from the shower and bath tub.
Cons: Due to the location of our room (within the proximity of the host private rooms) every time we moved the dog would hear us and bark.
Location: Transport is a must if you wish to stay at this location. Enclosure Bay beach is within walking distance as are a lot of walking tracks.
What a truly beautiful spot where this accommodation is located. We booked the Little Barrier room which gave us sweeping views from as far as the eye could reach of Rakino Island, Kawau Island, Great Barrier Island and Rangitoto. We were told on a clear day that the Hen and chicken islands could be seen and we quite believed it. This view could all be breathtakingly absorbed from the shower and the bath tub which was a real attraction. Our host Andy carried our bags to the room, more than three flights up, all with a great sense of humour. On arriving in the room he gave us a complimentary guide of the best place to dine close by and some information on wineries and a trip to the east side of the Island. We took a walk down to Enclosure Bay beach and back up the hill. Tired and satisfyingly full from an earlier winery tour and a fabulous meal at the Oyster Inn we decided to stay in for the evening and listen to some Jazz music while taking in the views and settling for a light supper of cheese and crackers with some local beer and sparkling water, the latter was provided by our host. After all why leave a room with such stunning views. The next morning our continental breakfast arrived with a smile and more humour from Andy. We opted to eat breakfast on the balcony to drink up our final few hours of the view before departing. One night is definitely not long enough at this location.

Wonderful island stayPosted Oct 16, 2013
Enclosure Bay was amazing! It was a gem on the island. The accommodations were immaculate and very modern. The room had all the comforts we needed. The breakfast was spectacular. The owner, Andy, also provided us with helpful tips for island attractions and even picked us up and dropped us off for the ferry. Andy and Jenny were the best hosts. If we return we would absolutely stay there again and recommend to all who go to the island!

One of those WOW places to stay!Posted May 22, 2013
Pros: The location on the water was amazing, and the hosts were very attentive
Cons: That I just didn't get to stay long enough
Location: On a hill above the water with a stunning view
The experience was high on my list of best places to stay. I've traveled extensively, and this was one of the better B & B's that I have stayed in. My daughter and I were on a girls' trip, and we were very pleased with the stunning views and the attentiveness of our hosts. They were very helpful and recommended what we should do. They made every effort to make sure our stay was all that it could be. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful B & B, on this enchanting island.

Heavenly end to our honeymoonPosted Apr 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Having stayed at a bunch of high-end B&Bs during our 2.5 week honeymoon in New Zealand, we can honestly say that Enclosure Bay was among the best, if not the very best. The views from our balcony (where we had breakfast served one day) were absolutely stunning. Andy was the perfect host: he was more than happy to provide transportation to some activities, had very helpful recommendations (including for a scenic flight around the island), and had an overall effervescent personality that was a delight to be around. The house is chic and modern, but also very comfortable, featuring an outdoor hot tub and an extensive DVD selection (including the entire James Bond series ) available to borrow. We were sad to leave Enclosure Bay and beautiful Waiheke Island, but have the great memory of our time there.

Lovely!Posted Mar 18, 2013
The entire stay was a joy. Andy and Jenny couldnt do enough for us, gave us great tips regarding the island and the loan of the car to take us to Poderi Crisci was a treat. Would love to go back and feel a million miles away from Auckland but only 45 minutes away in reality, at their place, hopefully some time soon. Would highly recommend.
