We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton in Auckland. It is located in a great location as it is a short distance to walk to downtown and the Viaduct harbour. Also, from our balcony we have great view of the wharf. I enjoyed watchingthe sun rises every day. The interior of the hotel common area and our room are new, modern and cosy. All staff are very friendly and professional. However, the free Wifi was not working as it was either slow or kept dropping out. We did not use the outdoor pool because the water was cold to swim in. I would like the buffet breakfast selections to be more expansive. All in all we have a good experience and would recommend the Hilton Auckland to our extended family, friends and colleagues.

It was such a beautiful property and our stay was excellent. The restaurant inside was amazing and it was accessible to many places just by walking distance. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful.

Beware! If u pay the high room rate for a king harbor view room, you may not have a harbor view. Humongous cruise ships dock right next to the hotel and block all views. The hotel gave us a cheap bottle of wine to compensate. Those rooms are expensive.

We were VERY disappointed in our room as we paid for a harbor view and instead had a huge cruise ship directly across from our room. Its engines running making enough noise that we could not enjoy the view nor the balcony. We were told ships harbor there constantly. If that is the case why weren't we told so we could have made other plans? I feel we paid an exorbitant price only to be disappointed by the ship not 60 feet from our balcony.

Nice quiet location with lovely views and big decks. The staff is quite nice and welcoming. The bar is quiet and there is outdoor seating in a lovely setting. It’s a little inconvenient to services (a 3-4 block walk to coffee, pharmacy, etc.). If you need a cab, I recommend Uber since the cabs weren’t reliable, but Uber drivers are usually waiting nearby. Gym was small but serviceable. The pool is quite small.

We had a superb room with a huge terrace overlooking Auckland Harbour, and the never ending ferries. It was an easy walk down the pier to the heart of Auckland, with superb restaurants and sights.

The staff here were really great, however the property itself is overpriced for what you get. There is a lot that needs repair both in the room and also on the deck, eg, loose tiles that water oozes from when you walk on it. This is yet another hotel that is cashing in on the views. The breakfast was very nice.

Stay was pretty good, though not as personal as other Hilton stays due to the busy season, so it's understandable. Notable mentions are the fantastic breakfast and bellhops and valet staff, who were really outstanding in their customer service. Do note that ocean facing rooms which are more expensive face the ferry docks so activity starts at about 6 am. It is very well located so it's walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Pretty impressed with our stay here. We found out an extremely large cruise ship would be blocking our view, so the staff gave us a discount on our stay and a complimentary bottle of wine for the inconvenience. They also comped our breakfast, which was delicious and had a huge range of healthy options. Definitely the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The rooms were updated, clean, and comfortable with a nice deep soaking tub. The surrounding harbor area itself is a little unusual. It felt more like a working dock than a cosmopolitan harbor, but still walkable enough with a few sights nearby. (We enjoyed the maritime museum.) We only stayed for one night before starting our NZ tour, but liked it so much I wouldn’t hesitate booking again.
