Good value for money if you are looking for a quiet place and do not need somthing as exiting as the city. Very friendly staff.

“Love the pillows”

I had to work near the airport so I chose this hotel. The rate was pretty reasonable last minute, and I was impressed with what I got. I love the pillows (a choice between soft and hard), the super helpful staff provided both a free toothbrush (bought to my room five minutes after I asked for it by the porter), helped me print out a document I needed, and let me hang around working in the lobby before my flight.While it's a little tricky to get to the city without a car, if someone else is paying the airport shuttle is really regular and you can just get the airbus into the city. This would be perfect if you had your own car. The buffet dinner was good value, if not inspirational, it was really tasty. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

“Clean and affordable”

Reception was not that helpful, however we did check in at 2am. Room was fantastic, clean and affordable.

The location is close to the airport and shuttle service is provided. Clean and spacious rooms and pleasant grounds. Internet access in the room seems expensive and complicated. Options include 20 minutes free WIFI in the Lobby or a paid 20 minutes in the business centre on a computer. Unfortunately hotmail was not operating on their system. I would stay here again knowing what I do and if I needed to be close to the airport as there is little of interest in the area.

staff where very nice and helpful, room was clean and pleasing, and the food very nice and tasty

“Overall, above expectation.”

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. One of our party was on crutches and they were only to happy to move us (two rooms) from 1st floor to ground floor. Rooms were exceptionally clean. Pillows were sealed. Rooms were a very good size and very comfortable.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Surprisingly nice holiday inn (better than others i've stayed at before). Loved their outdoor area.

annoyed at the $5 surcharge for parking a car overnight at the hotel - revenue gathering is how the staff described it when I asked them how come a guest has to pay for parking in the hotel. Don't go to dinner after 8pm unless it's reasonable busy - food was dry by 8.30 on a slow night

“Only to be close to the airport”

Staff are helpful and efficient. The room was clean and simple. The food at the hotel was very good. The only complaint was that the air quailty in the room was very poor. Only booked this place to be close to the airport. Free shuttle to and from the airport.

“If you have to stay at Auckland airport...”

This hotel may be the best option at Auckland airport, but it's definitely not great. The beds were comfortable,but the room felt somewhat grungy, and the bath mat was full of mold. The most important aspect is the convenience if you have an early or late flight from Auckland. However, that also comes with a downside, since there are no nice eating options anywhere in the area. Bottom line: may be a reasonable option if travel plans call for it, but otherwise not great.
