“Practically perfect in every way.”

This Hotel is a gem, I don't really want anybody else to know about it as it is already hard to get rooms.

one of the best hotels we've stayed in for a long time. the staff were friendly and helpful, the amentities in the room were amazing - the bed, linen - divine! great bar and facilitiies - very funky but peaceful. we will definitely come back!

“A wonderful hotel”

We loved the hotel. The place is full of beautiful details and the staff could not have been more helpful and kind. It is super well located. We would defenitely recommend it and if we ever go back to Auckland we would stay there. Keep up the good work!

“Fantastic hotel”

We only stayed one night as a treat as it was the most expensive of all the places we stayed in during our trip but it was most definitely worth it! The room was superb with a very comfortable bed, lovely shower and bathroom, and great service from the reception staff. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was buffet-continental style. Plenty of food, nice choice and served in a lovely light and bright dining area. We loved the decor, modern and retro and the same time. The drawing room with books and dvds you can borrow was a lovely feature. I would definitely stay there again.

“Extremely Accommodating”

The staff at the Hotel DeBrett was extremely accommodating and although our room wasn't available when we checked in early they gave us access to a guest lounge and stored our luggage. They were always helpful in offering suggestions of where to go and the best way to get there. The restaurant offered very good food with excellent service. Our room was a little on the small side but very well appointed with a smart sophisticated flair. We had a late departure and once again the hotel was helpful in storing our luggage and allowing us continued access to the guest lounge. The location of the hotel was superb. We could easily walk to the ferry wharf and harbor area and had easy access to numerous restaurants. Bus service was just a few short blocks away.

“Great Boutique Hotel in Auckland”

We travel a lot and we found the DeBrett Hotel to be a real gem. It is an old building which has been completely and lovingly remodeled with imaginiation, warmth, great style, and attention to detail. 1970´s Scandinavian furniture upholstered in warm autumn color fabrics dominates the public areas. There are whimsical chandeliers and a fountain in the dining area. Our room was large, quiet, and light with just enough furniture to make it comfortable and not crowded. Our little balcony overlooked the 1st floor fireplace and lounging area. The bathroom was large and ultra modern with double sinks, walk-in shower, and separate tub. The included continental breakfast was fresh and tasty. The DeBrett is in the trendy section of downtown so we walked to the ferry station, shopping wharves, and tourist attractions. The owner, Michelle, was at the hotel every day to make sure that every thing was up to her standards and to welcome her guests. We will definitely that at the DeBrett again!

“Gorgeous design hotel with warm and friendly service”

As a design nerd, I am always drawn to modern, design focused hotels. Unfortunately, they almost always have rude, cold, non existent service... Except Hotel Debrett. FINALLY a really cool hotel with awesome people!! Every single person we encountered was absolutely lovely, from the front desk to the bar to the breakfast team, even the poor girl who had to bring our car around in peak hour traffic was gorgeous despite other cars beeping and yelling! Whilst the service was certainly the high point for me, it needs to be said that the room was amazing. The website photos don't do justice to the quality of the hard and soft furnishings, and the personality of the room. It felt like a home, not a cookie-cutter hotel room. My only disappointment was the mattress, which was far too soft for me. If you love a giant pillow top, this is definitely the hotel for you! Because everyone made us feel so relaxed and at home, our 1 night stopover felt like so much more, and yet also not nearly enough! We will certainly be back soon.

“Fabulous hotel”

I only stayed here for one night and absolutely loved this hotel. I arrived at midday, well before the stated check-in time, to find that my room was ready for me. The staff were friendly and very helpful - they talked me through all the facilities available at the hotel (I loved the complimentary pre-dinner cocktail in the Drawing Room). My room was lovely, and the bed ridiculously comfortable. The location is perfect for seeing Auckland. Although right in the middle of town, noise was not a problem. I would thoroughty recommend at stay at the Hotel DeBrett should you ever find yourself in Auckland.

“Great central location with great service”

Excellent service from the moment we arrived. The car was sorted and we were escorted to the room and all available services explained to us. We were provided with umberellas when it rained, directions when we had no idea where to go and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Lovely room with a fabulous bathroom and a really comfortable bed. A really chic hotel, cleverly designed, unusual but tasteful. Breakfast was delicious and a good variety of food on offer. The location was perfect to shop, sightsee and dine out. Lots of local pubs for a beer as well. We really apreciated the peace of the residents lounge which were were allowed to use after we checked out. A great final touch. What more could you want.

“Funky, Artsy, Fun”

Note that we are maybe a little too old and little too un-hip for their ideal client but... We had a great stay. Large & nicely furnished room. Sitting area downstairs with bedroom and bath upstairs. Very cool black tile bathroom. Modern/Funky/Artsy decor. Staff is friendly and helpful with local things-to-do and reservations. Great location, convenient to boats, subway, buses, shopping. Very nice Continental breakfast included in our rate.
