Great central location

Rooms are older style but plenty of room. Wifi was only 30 mins but managed to access it from floor 3 (rather than lobby).. Close to all.

Location! !!!!

We got the cheapest room in the place and it was great! Hotel location fantastic! We even had small frig in room. Their cheap rooms are great for visitors looking for a quiet clean room with no frills. Free Internet is very nearby, so no need to pay fee at hotel. Ask about $35 cab ride to airport. Our driver was great and waiting for us 15 min early!

Nice location

It's in a convenient place. The room was clean and comfy. It's not very spacious, but enough for 2 people and I found it good for value.

Twice the Price

Location: Excellent location but I think car park should be free for hotel guests.
I had paid for the room through Expedia when I made the booking but when I checked in, I was asked to pay again and told that my card had been declined first time. Even though I had the print out of the booking and transaction confirmation. I showed this to staff but they were adamant that I had to pay again. I had travelled a long way an just wanted to get to my room so I paid what I was being charged. Once in my room I checked my bank statements on-line and realised I had been charged twice. When I tried to explain the situation to the person who checked me in, they seemed to be losing patience with me and spoke to me as if I wasn't understanding the situation. Then another staff member took over and she politely checked my details and assured me I would be refunded on check-out, which I was. After all this, we realised our TV and air-con both weren't working and there were stains on the carpet, scratches on the furniture. Also, tea, coffee and toiletry supplies were low and towels were rough. Overall, it was a very disappointing hotel experience.

My apologies for the confusion surrounding your check in and the double charge to your account. What irks me more is the fact that a staff member showed a lack of patience and I will investigate further in order to maintain our high customer service standards. We are planning a major refurbishment this year and hope to replace the last of the old air-conditioners soon.

年始だったせいか、16時に一度部屋に戻っても まだ部屋は清掃されていなかった。 タオルも交換されていない日があった。

Conveniently located Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Auckland, close to all amenities, shops, Briomart Transport Centre. The room had a good size, with cooking facilities, all in good working order and clean. The staff was helpful and I had no problems checking in in the middle of the night.

Very central to transport/bars

We stayed for a concert. Was well priced. Not for those sensitive to Friday night rowdiness, although plugs were provided.

Comfortable hotel close to railway station

Pros: Self service breakfast was available in the pleasant foyer.
Cons: There was a bit of a problem with noise from a nightclub in one of the adjacent buildings.
Location: All of the city centre attractions are within easy reach, either by walking or public transport.
The hotel is conveniently located near the railway station and ferry terminal on one of the main streets in town. Our bedroom room was very comfortable and the adjoining sitting room contained a fridge, kettle and microwave.

Great location, good value Hotel with no parking

Pros: Location, decor, 24 hour reception.
Cons: Light bulbs replaced, washing machines fixed, mould removed from room. Better explanation of the parking situation when talking with staff on phone.
Location: Short walk to wharf, many bars, restaurants etc. Fabulous gourmet supermarket across the road. Near the groovy area of Ponsonby
Best thing about the hotel is the location. Worst thing, the smell of mould in the room coming from black growths around the windows. Myself and two daughters aged 19 and 21 enjoyed staying here. There was a faded charm to the hotel, and it was lovely to have jazz music wafting up to our room the first night. Not so lovely was the loud club music which kept pumping till at least 3am on Saturday night. I would not recommend it for those wanting a quiet stay, however if you want convenience of location and 24 hour reception, it's great.....and they supply earplugs! The rates are reasonable, but don't expect all your lights to work, or all the washing machines to work. Be warned that the advertised discounted parking is still quite expensive and you may not be able to park in front of the hotel to drop off bags and get the parking key. We circled the place avoiding parking cops.

Great stay

Pros: Just what we expected - paid for the location, got exceptional service
Location: At bottom of Queen Street close to the Viaduct/eateries/entertainment, easy walk to Vector Arena
Great hotel, discounted Britomart parking, friendly and competent hotel reception staff who are knowledgeable and helpful. Location is great, easy stroll to Vector Arena and, on checking out, the reception staff asked if we enjoyed the concert!
