Staff was very friendly. Great location. Walking distance to all the major sites in Auckland
“Auckland's best value for the price.”
Located on a hill overlooking the Auckland Harbor is The Hyatt Hotel. This is a good location at the University of Auckland and blocks from the Central Business District . The residence rooms are better than the run of the house rooms. However, the Hyatt recently had a face lift which has made a big improvement in the rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpfull.

Great service - friendly and efficient. Clean and comfortable rooms. Getting to elevators from parking garage is a challenge. Could have used a few more staff on duty during check-out. Excellent dining. Dinner meal was superb and not too pricey. Breakfast buffet was way too expensive.

We came to the hotel very early (7:00 am) and although check in time is usually 12:00 they immediately gave us the room.
“The best Auckland Hotel in the best Location”
We stayed here for 6 days during a family vacation with our two children. The Hotel staff and service is among the best I have experienced globally, and the large rooms (especially the new wing) are truly breathtaking! The Regency Club rate is definitely worth it, with access to the top floor lounge both morning and evening, as well as the world class health club. The location is close to many shopping and eating alternatives. In future, I will choose this as my business accomodations in Auckland!

This was a great place to start our vacation in NZ! The staff vere very helpful, especially Max the head doorman. The buffet breakfast was the best we had during our 2 1/2 weeks in NZ! The location in the downtown area was very convenient.
“Easy walk to University and waterfront.”
Very nice hotel at a good price. Our only issue is that we had some difficulty regulating room temperature: heat was either full on or full off.
