“Exceeded our expectations”

My wife and I spent two nights in the Hyatt Regency immediately after arrival for a 2-week stay in NZ North Island. We booked through Expedia and selected the hotel on the basis of price and convenience of location, but based on mixed reviews our expectations were modest. We were pleasantly surprised - our room (no. 1120) had a reasonable view of the harbour, and was adequately spacious and well appointed if a little dated (the hotel literature promises a comprehensive update during 2009). It is convenient for Albert Park (very attractive) and the city centre (about 10 minutes walk down the hill, or uphill on the way back!). There is a good Bistro cafe in the hotel and we found all staff extremely helpful, friendly and obliging. We tried booking again for our last two nights but couldn't be accommodated, even at the higher prices prevailing second time around.

“Good Hotel”

A good hotel in a good location. A 5 minute walk to the main street in Auckland, a 10 minute walk to the Viaduct Harbour, and other attractions. A very good location even though on top a pretty steep hill. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Food is lovely and service is good. I would recommend this hotel.

very satisified, we arrived at 6am in NZ arrived at the Hotel by 9:30am, and our room was ready for us.

The Hyatt in Auckland was perfect for getting over jetlag. The king size bed was very comfortable. The highlight for me was the gym and pool facility. I made use of their steam room also. The room and facilities were very well maintained and clean. The staff there were approachable and friendly. The healthy breakfast buffet was also excellent. An egg white fritatta was served and we were able to get fresh fruit and pastries. If we are ever in Auckland, we we definitely be staying at the Hyatt.

“Great place to stay if going to concert at Vector Arena”

The Hyatt Rengency is a great place to stay and if you are going to a concert etc at the Vector Arena is a convenient 10 minute walk to/from. I have stayed here many times over the years and it continues to provide a consistent good quality of service. Highly recommend.

“Fabulous”

The staff at the Hyatt were amazingly helpful. The room was great and the bed was huge. The location was good but there is a bit of a walk up a hill from Queen Street, which wasn't easy pulling a suitcase.

“Excellent service all around”

Hotel is centrally located. Easy walk to the Skytower, waterfront and local eateries. Staff was great but breakfast buffet was really expensive. Good value overall, I'd defintely go back.
