Will stay here again

Pros: The location, the staff, having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment.
Cons: Vacuuming
Location: Close to waitakere hospital which is great if visiting infirmed relatives.
My daughter and I stayed four nights in a one bedroom apartment. The room was nice and clean and the staff were fabulous, the extra payment for car parking was a bit of a pain but considering the resonable price of the room even with the added parking cost we were still within budget. Although the room was serviced daily it didn't see a vacuum cleaner in the time we were there and it really could have done with a quick once over. Having the washing machine and dryer in the unit was wonderful and meant next time we will take less luggage. All in all a really good choice.

Pros: Lovely facilities
Cons: Arrived at 8:40 but took some time to get let in. Rang 4 times before got a reply Parking charge was annoying. Should be included in price
Really enjoyed the time. Relaxing and peaceful, Great facilities

Basic but fine, fair for the price

A pile of dirty cleaning cloths had been left outside my room on arrival but this was quickly remedied. Nice powerful heat pump/aircon. The electric blanket was unnecessary and so bony to lie on I ripped it off my half of the bed. Nice to have thin blanket layer options not just those horribly hot duvets one gets in so many places.

Air con not working and room got very hot and stuffy. Bed uncomfortable Got back to room very surprised to find two men in it painting. And dripped Paint was on floor and on furnishings, we were not told this was happening - very bad communication. They also put a tray in shower - wonky ! This was all for an inspection that was happening, - we should have been given another room or they shd have waited until we vacated the next . morning..

Cons: DONT ORDER THE BREAKFAST OPTION!! - They offer a breakfast option and when the breakfast arrives it will make you laugh then frustrate the hell out u
Location: Within walking distance of shopping very convenient
Staff are very friendly. Services are very well appointed if you are intending on staying a little while I have stayed in a number of hotels around Henderson area for work and this hotel is this most practical.

Poor cleanliness and disgraceful service

After our arrival at the quest Henderson m wife and I were surprised to learn that breakfast was not included, the manager on duty was quite adamant. Breakfast was clearly included in our contractual booking; after a pointed discussion he agreed to include breakfast. Furthermore to add insult to injury, later in the day on ordering breakfast we informed that breakfast consisted of Toast and jam only! AND, that it did not include milk & cereal. We were left speechless struck in disbelief and had to straighten out the same manager on that issue. The following day breakfast was delivered in bare hands! No trays! Not even on a simple plate! Where is the hygiene? Were did these workers receive their training? Needless to say this is below standard service!! Room cleanliness was unsatisfactory bench tops and carpets were not cleaned daily. Food particles and clothing threads from two days previous were still visible. Also no full dressing mirror could be found in the unit.

WOEFUL RECEPTION

We found the apartment to be excellent and it suited our needs however the young chap on reception was woeful on all counts. He couldn’t understand basic things and therefore couldn’t give any requested information especially to tell me which street Wadier Place was off. All he could tell me was that it was by Henderson Mall which I knew to be incorrect. The compendium in our unit said that cleaning took place on a daily basis but our apartment wasn’t cleaned on Sunday. Upon asking why we were told cleaning didn’t take place on a Sunday or public holidays. The manager said it was in the compendium but it certainly wasn’t in our copy as I read it on arrival. Parking charges were listed as $7.50 per day in one part of it and $10 in another part. I have been assured by management that the compendium has now been updated. Just a note: I selected the box that said I would pay on departure from the hotel however when I went to pay, the manager handed me a receipt and said he had already put it through on my credit card, together with a $7.80 credit card charge which I disputed. I would have paid by EFTPOS if I had known that but I didn’t get the option. Had I paid through the hotels.com website there wouldn’t have been a credit card charge. I was also charged for parking which I hadn’t requested. Parking at a suburban hotel should be free. Check your account carefully on checking out!
