No feelings of being welcomed.Posted Dec 16, 2014
Arrived at hotel. No welcome. Stayed and left. No "hope you enjoyed your stay" or statement to that effect.

Great hotel, close to shops, cafés and the viaductPosted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: It's position in the Auckland CBD
Cons: A small indoor pool or spa pool would be nice.
Location: Casino, sky tower, shops, cafés / restaurants and the Auckland viaduct. Close to art gallery, town hall and Aotea centre. Close to public transport
We were here for a function held in one of the sky city bars. It was great to be able to go up to our room instead of driving home. We slept late, had a leisurely breakfast and headed home close to lunchtime.

Location, Location, Location!Posted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: New and modern, the location and the pleasant and helpful staff.
Sky City is a modern, well-appointed establishment. Very chic, clean and a very friendly and helpful staff. The key factor, however, is location. It is literally under the Sky Tower in the center of the city. It is part of or attached to the Convention Center, so you are close to everything important. The Hop On-Hop Off bus picks up right outside the front door and the eating establishments in the area are too many to count. Just a couple of blocks from the main business street (Queens). We enjoyed our stay there and would consider returning if we are ever in the area. The one drawback... they wanted $20.00 for a power adaptor that we were able to buy on the street for under $10.00. We brought the wrong adaptor with us and had to buy one for a two night stay. A similar hotel in Sydney gave us one to use for our stay with them. Everything else about the Sky City was excellent.

Good location, nice room.Posted Dec 10, 2014
I had a bayview room with a balcony. The view was spectacular. The pool is in a beautiful location overlooking the water. Overall, a nice place to stay, just far enough from town and just close enough.

Pros: Location and within the casino premises

Excellent hotel, close to downtown AucklandPosted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Has everything you require for a night away in Auckland and very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing at this stage.
Location: Downtown Auckland only steps away, amazing restaurants and cafes.
We were in Auckland for the Fast 5 Netball at Vector Arena and we booked skycity for its locality and comfort. It was an excellent hotel and would stay again.
