This hotel was amazing, had a really enjoyable stay. The only thing that was bad about it was that we had booked a room with breakfast included. No-where did it say that this breakfast was only available through room service. When we went down to the restaurant we told them that we had already pre-paid and double checked that all was ok and they waved us through. Then come check out time we found out that the breakfast that we'd had in the restaurant wasn't the right one, and that the restaurant isn't affiliated to the hotel. The guy at reception didn't charge us for one of them to be nice, but it was still pretty annoying considering that we'd already paid for breakfast and then had to pay again, especially as we'd double checked with the restaurant. Other than that though the hotel was clean and modern and we really liked it. A little noisy on a Saturday night but nothing major.

“Sebel Suites, Auckland Viaduct - Enjoyable”

I spent 4 nights at Sebel Suites, Auckland Viaduct in November 2010 and had an enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, the hotel was nice, the location was excellent - the Viaduct is a pleasant place to stay with a number of excellent restaurants on the harbour front and a few more within easy walking distance in Ponsonby. I was more than happy with my stay here and would gladly stay here again when I return to Auckland and recommend it heartily to others.

We had a perfect stay at the Sebel Suites Auckland. We stayed in a city view studio room on the 5th floor (of 6). We asked to see a 1 bedroom suite and although it was very nice and had a graet view of the harbour, the size of the studio was big enough for us and it was a little quieter as it didn't back onto the viaduct bars and restaurants. The room itself was immaculate and had its own kitchenette and a separate bath and shower. The customer service was superb - friendly, helpful and prompt. The front desk initially didn't know that our breakfast was included with our expedia booking but once we showed them our confirmation they immediately arranged it for us without any fuss. The location of the hotel is great for eating out (kermadec seafood restaurant is 2 doors down and was out of this world) and the ferries depart from the ferry terminal just a 5 minute walk down the pier. Especially considering the reasonable price of this room, we were very satisfied.

“Modern, great location, great customer service”

Great hotel right on the Harbor. Many good restaurants outside the door along the harbor walls. Washer/dryers in all of the rooms with small kitchenettes. 5 min walk to the ferries. We over-packed and they allowed us to store a bag until returned. Very accommodating Next visit to New Zealand, we will start our trip at the Sebel.

“Great location with beautiful room”

We stayed in the 1 bedroom Marina Deluxe suite in early August 2009 and loved the hotel and our room. The view was perfect -- overlooking Viaduct Harbour, with its picturesque marina. The room was well appointed, very clean, modern and tasteful furnishings. The staff was friendly. The location was great -- many restaurants and pubs literally right outside the hotel's doorstep. It might get a little noisy on the weekend, being so close to the pubs, but it wasn't bad at all during the week when we were there. For a small fee, you can use the fitness center and pool at the historic Tepid Baths next door -- that was very nice. The Sky Tower and the rest of downtown is only a short walk away. The parking was convenient. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Auckland.

Both the hotel itself as well as all the staff that helped us were superior. The people went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. And the hotel was amazing (being away for two weeks, and so far from home, we tried to pack as lightly as we could, so we particularly appreciated the washer and dryer in our room!).

“Great place to settle in after 2 weeks of sailing the North Island”

This is a beautifull Hotel with great views of the harbor activity in Auckland. We especialy enjoyed all the well appointed creature comforts after being on a sailboat for two weeks.
