“Good Location, older hotel.”
Stayed during the 2011 Masters. Hotel is older, TV's ancient, could smell smoke from previous patrons. But....had cable, fridge, safe, two beds, clean bathroom--what else do you need. There's a winghouse on one side and an oysterhouse on the other side and it's 2 miles from Augusta National. Overall, a fine deal for a simple, clean room.
“Good Place to stay”
Hotle Management were very helpful
“Was nice”
This hotel was very decent and a good value for me. The room was clean and the staff was above average. I would recommend it to a friend.
“King and Queen”
This hotel is on a main hotel drag and provides great prices, a king and full bed in the room but did not have the contentental breakfast as indicated. There was juice and coffee. I will go there again in the future because of it's location and ease to get to and from if you are not familar with the area. Lot's of restraunts nearby.
“ok to stay”
was as expected, picture of hotel on-line looked a lot newer, but it was not. management was nice. would stay again if opportunity arises
“one week stay”
This was a decent place to stay. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was fairly clean upon my arrival, my only complaints were no handicapped parking, and poor internet reception.
“Don't be Afraid!”
This is an older hotel, but don't be afraid to stay here. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and housekeeping did a great job. We stayed during the 2010 Masters, so the price was inflated, but still the cheapest found on Expedia. Great location - exactly 2 miles from Augusta National. Wild Wings Bar & Grill was right next door, with great food and even beter entertainment.
“avoid this place”
This place is a pit.
“won't stay there again”
It was not trashy, but the people working the hotel were not very friendly and it was kinda smelly, and not the best room for a travellodge.
“Its Only Attribute is the Proximity to Augusta National”
I booked this hotel for 2 nights during the Masters 2011. Nothing special here- just a little drive up motel, tucked into an area packed with strip malls and chain restaurants. The room was just ok-- clean enough, but worn, with older carpets with some damage, and poor quality bedspreads and pillows. The bathroom was clean enough, but cheaply apointed. There was a musty smell when we first checked in that made us think maybe someone had smoked in the room (even though it's non-smoking). Any other week, I'd pay no more than cheap motel rates for a place like this. BUT it IS very close to Augusta National (like a 5-minute drive), and one of the few places you could book at a comparatively modest cost a night during Masters week. One other weird thing: one night we went out to dinner, and when we came back, the tv in our room was on. We had turned it off before we left. ?!?
