“Back to the 70s”

The room is just like stepping back in time to hotel rooms in the 70s. Analoge TV with big tube. Minimum channels available. Small bathroom and not extras for the sink. Plastic cups not glass. The breakfast was good however and it opened at 6 am vs 6:30 am which is convient. I will not stay her again as it was uncomfortable/ I arrived at 9 pm from my flight from WDC yet the resturant was closed and nothing close to go to. Felt isolated at night

“Convenient to Eisenhower AMC, nice staff”

I stayed here while attending an open house at Eisenhower. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. While there isn't much around the hotel, the staff was able to recommend a restaurant within the distance their shuttle covers, dropped me off and picked me back up cheerfully. My room was clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The complimentary wifi worked well. I would definitely stay here again if I need to go to Ft Gordon.

Getting around

The hotel has a shuttle that runs in a 3 mile radius from the hotel, including to the Augusta airport. Drivers are very friendly and accommodating.

“Good Hotel for the price”

Hotel was nice enough for a one-night stay. We didn't use the pool, but it was clean and inviting. The hotel room was comfortable and the breakfast pretty good. Only drawback was the location. No restaurants by the hotel, but there were several within a five mile radius. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and staff was very friendly

Area recommendations

avoid the area immediately surrounding the hotel - there is not much there, but there is nice area about 5 miles from the hotel. Avoid the Chop-House, overpriced food with no taste.

“It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst.”

We arrived at our hotel after a delayed flight at 2am. Our first room didn't have a working air conditioner, and since it was 80+ degrees out we had to move. We got a handicapped room and switched the next morning. The staff was hit and miss, some of the wait staff was flat out rude. The breakfast was also hit and miss. Since they stopped serving at 10, anything after 9:30 was cold and most tables were shut off to guests. But on the days it was hot, it was delicious and well done. Dinner - was horrible. Just don't eat dinner there. Ever. It was almost inedible. The room was clean and nice, the housekeeping staff was very pleasant. The pool, once it was cleaned, was nice to have as well. It should have been monitored better because people constantly drove up, let their whole family play and trash the area for hours, then left. Even with a sign that said hotel guests only. Would we stay there again? No. But, if you are in the area and looking for something clean and quiet in that price range, a night or two would be ok. We stayed a week it and wasn't the best.

“Close & easy access to Ft. Gordon”

It was clean and convenient but didn't like the room door facing outside. Also didn't like the instant charge of room the minute I booked it . Otherwise it was fine

“Well Done Holiday Inn!”

I suppose it was just classic southern hospitality, but the staff at the hotel were wonderful! They patiently answered all my questions! The hotel lobby was classy and the hotel room was nicely cleaned. Perfect to come home to after a day of travel!

“Day Tripper”

The hotel and room were very clean. The breakfast included was very nice. Choice of cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, fresh fruit and unlimited coffee. The pool area was lancaped well, private and quiet, especially for a hotel located in a comercial area. I was impressed. The water was leaning toward the green side my only dissapointment. I may have cut the day trips shorter to relax by the pool if clearer. I definately recommended this hotel.
