Augusta 70.3

Posted Oct 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
There was a loud party Saturday night that lasted till after Midnight. I had to call the front office to have them tell the people in the party to be quiet. When the people went back to their room (which apparently was right above us) we heard walking around and clanging for the next several hours.

Convenient for the Masters

Nice enough for a quick trip to Augusta National. They had a shuttle service to the course for $15 round-trip.

Good from far

Posted Apr 12, 2013
Pros: free breakfast was fairly well stocked
Cons: the room upkeep
Location: 2 minutes from Augusta National
I stayed at this hotel during Master's week, so I probably paid 3-4 times the regular rate, which is fine, b/c I understand the supply and demand theroy. What was dissappointing about this hotel is that the rooms were very dated, general up keep was poor (shower curtain was barely held in place w/ multiple rusted drywall screws around the perimerter of the wall bracket-quite an interesting "fix"), and ac/heat unit had a ton of mold on the inside of the unit. Since I only stayed one night I didn't voice any concerns to the staff. On the plus side the free breakfast was acceptable and the front desk staff was very friendly.
