Hotel Augusta,ME

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: The beds were comfy, food was fresh, and staff was nice.
Cons: Sink was clogged and the tub leaked, so I guess these things.
Location: Tons of things nearby to do and place to eat and shop.
My resent stay at the Super 8 in Augusta, ME was very nice over all. The only two things that were not that great, was the internet and cable was lost for a couple hours due to construction right outside and the tub constantly dripped. After we gained back the TV services, the internet connection was unstable. As a result of this connection problem, I was not able to use WIFI on my phone and was booted off internet while on my computer many times through out the day. Staff was great though and apologized even though it was not their fault.

Reasonable price

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: The price and location.
Cons: Although our room and all the rooms nearby were nonsmoking, the hallway really stunk of stale cigarette smoke.
Free breakfast and refrigerator included in price, which was great.

Acceptable accommodations just off I95

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Cons: Hallways had fairly strong cigarette smoke odor, but non-smoking rooms were fine.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, conveniently located just off I95 and reasonably close to Augusta shopping area.

Poorly run establishment

Posted Dec 16, 2014
First room offered - bed not made. Truly gross! Heat pump did not work well in second room offered however the bed was made. Woke early to get a shower and get back on road only to find no towels in bathroom. Perhaps my worst stay ever.

Great location, great shopping. Have stayed here several times, always a good stay. Beds are comfortable and great pillows. Breakfast room is ok. Place for a quick bite before starting your day.

Non smoking?

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Staff was friendly and the room was clean. The hot water did not work in the shower. The worst thing was the smell of cigarettes. Once you walk in the front door it almost knocks you over it's so strong. The room was non smoking but all I could smell was cigarettes. I would of left but it was late and I was tired. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone

Close to the highway

Upon entering the room looked clean and neat. The room smelled like marajuana and it was very strong like someone had just smoked in there. I was not impressed by this.

Bon rapport qualite prix

Insonorisation faible. On entend ronfler le voisin. Excellent petit dejeuner avec des gauffres que l'on se fabrique sur place et bien d'autres choix. Le jus d'orange est trop baptise.

Incredibly smokey first floor!

Posted Oct 25, 2014
Pros: Cheap.
Cons: Get a bloody fan, and air out that first floor! The bathroom mirror had seen better days.
Location: Didn't notice much in the neighborhood that was interesting.
The non-smoking rooms are on the second floor, and the only way to get to them is through the first floor hallway which absolutely reeks of smoke. You literally hold your breath until you get upstairs to your room. I'm not sure if it was smoke that got on my clothes, but I think there was a bit of smoke smell in the room as well. Given the level of smell in the first floor, I wouldn't be surprised if some of it has migrated upstairs. Breakfast was basic; they had a waffle maker, but I think the batter was a bit off since the waffles came out pretty rubbery.
