Baby Pool & Construction

Pros: Pretty much nothing. It wasn't terrible; It just wasn't what I wanted on any front.
Cons: Everything could be improved. Better room service options, better bedding, a better pool or at least pool setup, a mini bar in the room...
Location: The Domain is full of shopping and restaurants, you won't be bored. Top Golf is nearby.
The pool was a huge disappointment. We came to Austin solely for the purpose of chilling at a hotel and relaxing. The pool doesn't look bad from the photos, and the price is right, and we were bringing kiddos so we thought we had a good setup. The entire pool is first of all, tiny with very limited lounging room around it, and the entire thing is 2 1/2 feet deep. It was fine for the kids to play in, but as an adult, in order to submerge in the water, you actually had to lay or kneel which is ridiculous. I would never book this in summer months if you like to use the pool. The entire hotel is surrounded by construction. The noise didn't permeate our room, but it was constant when you were at the pool or in the lobby and there are zero views to speak of. Our room had a view of the parking garage and the lower rooftop and AC units. The rooms are okay. There is no room service, which is a huge drawback. You can order from Kona Grill, they'll deliver at the front desk and you have to come down to get it. Delivery took well over an hour and my food was cold. Valet takes forever, though the guys are nice. Room: No tub, only shower. Extremely limited closet space (it's the most shallow closet imaginable, you can't put your bags in it.) The beds are inadequately dressed; not enough blankets. TV - cable package sucks. All in all, I'll skip all Aloft properties in the future as they feel more like being in a rather nice college dorm, instead of at a relaxing hotel.

Great hotel close to an "new" Austin area

Pros: Rooms very cosy and clean. Great bathroom with very good shower.
Cons: Valet parking could be more flexible! There is a huge car park opposite of the hotel but you are not allowed to park your car yourself.
Great, freindly and flexible front desk staff. Nice bar and great rooms.

Cons: Pool deepness
Enjoyed the location with shopping and restaurants. Hotel was clean. Only issue was the pool was only 2.5 ft deep throughout. I have never seen that at any hotel. I don't like swimming in the kiddie pool. That really should change.

Right next to shopping, and good food. Went to town to see the Willie Nelson show and stayed here. Wonderful staff, nice quiet lounge bar, and nice pool area to sit and have a drink. Beautiful room, kept nice and clean.

Great experience! Nice modern room at reasonable price, trendy decor, great location, helpful staff. Loved it and will most definitely return in my future trips to Austin.

Nice and Clean Hotel

Pros: Everything.Very convenient to shops and restaurants. Lots to do. 15 from downtown Austin.
Stayed the weekend in the Domain. Very nice and clean and friendly hotel. The beds were very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Cons: complimentary continental breakfast
Location: Great shopping and restaurants nearby and easy access to expressway.
Weekend getaway that thanks to Aloft Austin at the Domain, included a good nights rest!

Great Location

Pros: Location, walking distance to shops
Cons: the facility is very tired looking and is need of renovation
Location: great shopping and dining
Front Desk staff were pleasant. The hotel needs a renovation very tired looking. The bathroom floor was not clean and the carpet in the room was in poor condition. The pool area was very small. The Valet parking took too long they kept asking for my ticket when they had it in their possession. Price was too high for the condition of the facility.
