walking distance to shopping centers isnt ideal.

I've stayed at much better hotels. It would be better if laundry was open 24/7.

Dont stay in this hotel.

Room was smelly, did not feel comfortable and when I called the staff about it, all they said was will send you a freshener. What!! I left the place did not get my money back and stayed at another hotel.

Close to greyhound

Posted Oct 24, 2014
The hotel is close to the greyhound station in Austin (although you have to cross a highway to get there.) The staff was nice and there is a good Mexican restaurant near by. Getting to Downtown Austin was a bit of a trek but not to bad, just a short walk and a bus ride.

Old hotel but very clean on the inside.

Very clean room. Room was not ready when we checked in. Had to wait 30 minutes while room was cleaned. Comfortable bed. If you looking for low thrill clean rooms, this is a good place to stay. If you want trills or fancy, you need another place.

.Pleasant Surprise

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Very good value
Cons: Exterior of facility needs a good coat of paint.
Location: Very easy on, easy off I35 to DKR Memorial Stadium for UT games
The exterior of the hotel is a bit "threadbare," but the room itself had obviously be recently refurbished and was quite clean and comfortable.

Convenient and Pleasant

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Cons: My partner, who is a handyman, found a couple of maintenance items that he mentioned to the hotel staff, but they didn't bother me at all.
Location: It was very convenient for my high school reunion, and offered easy access to major thoroughfares which I used to get to other parts of Austin.
The hotel was attractive and the room was clean. We stayed 3 nights and were pleased with the accommodations for the price. I did see a tiny bug on the ceiling of the shower, but bugs are common in Texas, so it was no big deal.

Fairly close to airport-easy to find.

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Location pretty good and the value was great.
Cons: Exterior maintenance.
The staff was pretty good however it's a place where lots of guys lean around outside and smoke. They get up early to go to work so the sound of diesel trucks starting up is irritating. The ground litter was significant and the concrete walkways filthy. It would be a good idea to get a steam pressure washer and clean the walkways. There was only one trashcan in the room and no liner for it either. The coffee quality was poor however the continental breakfast was plentiful. The staff were quite nice, helping us with directions. The beds were really good and I thought the bath area pretty clean. They provided us a good amount of towels too. There was no menu for the cable guide so it's impossible to enjoy the cable TV. The interior furniture was OK but lighting not so great (as usual in a hotel room).

Okay....

Pros: Clean towels.
Cons: Cleanliness. When I arrived, the clerk was not very welcoming.
Location: Good location. Near a lot of restaurants.
The hotel was good for the discounted rate, but most definitely wouldn't pay full price. The room needed to be cleaned, bulbs replaced, etc. It was almost as though the "cleaning" crew got interrupted and forgot to finish. I picked up the wrapped bar of soap, but it was sticky underneath and the shampoo was tipped over. The room looked nice, however, especially for the price. I'd stay there again, but would first inspect the room to be sure.

Excelent value

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Value price
Cons: Coffee pot broken on arrival but was replaced as requested. Maids should have known this.
I arrived 1 hour prior to check in time but the room was ready. It was just as described, plenty of space and a wonderful small refrigerator. Internet service in the lobby was a plus with printer. Worth the effort to find this location, in an odd place off of I-35. I-hop next door was good for late night eating, but the free breakfast with waffles was wonderful.
