Marriott

I requested two beds. They said they didn't have any available so they offered a rollaway. The rollaway didn't have much padding and support. The king side bed also didn't have much padding. You can feel the springs. Not very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Great hotel for the price!

Pros: Very friendly front desk staff. Great shuttle drivers. Good recommendations. Restaurant staff on weekdays-particularly good. Comfortable, clean rooms.
Cons: Airport shuttle, check the numerous expired items in the "store", the bed was squeaky.
Location: Nothing was close by this hotel. Everything required a car or taking the shuttle downtown to get anywhere. We knew that going in so it was fine.
We came in for a convention downtown at the convention center. This hotel was considerably less expensive than downtown hotels. There was a shuttle that took us to the downtown Marriott, just steps away from the convention center. While we could get a shuttle from the hotel to downtown at a set time, getting back from downtown sometimes required a bit of waiting. The entire staff at both hotels was very friendly. We did not run into anyone unpleasant. The front desk was super. The shuttle drivers were extremely helpful and gave us some great recommendations. The restaurant staff, especially during the week, was excellent and so kind. A few downsides but nothing major: One of our beds was squeaky when trying to settle in for the night. We got a soda from the store in the lobby and it was expired, as were all of that same brand of soda-an oversight on the vendor's part? The front desk gladly exchanged it. It would be great to have a shuttle to and from the airport, even if it cost something. It was a $25 cab ride each way and we did not have a great cab experience. I was told the fare would only be about $15. One other thing to mention is that this hotel is not walking distance to anything so know you will need to take the shuttle downtown and walk from there, rent a car or use another form of transportation. This was just fine for what we needed. We were able to find plenty to walk to in our 5 days there since most of the time was spent at the convention. Great experience!

Up scale hotel; reasonable price

The wife and I went to Austin for a mini getaway and the hotel was a great part of the experience. The rooms were very nice, beds were comfy and cozy, staff was great! Hotel is about an 8 minute drive from down town and they even offer a free shuttle back and forth till midnight! The only con was you have to pay for internet. Overall great stay!

Nice hotel but ordered two queen beds for my mom and myself but only got one king bed. They offered to bring on a cot. Guess they were packed for the sxsw festival
