Expensive last minute mistake!

Pros: The bed and linens were nice. The soaps were nice.
Cons: It was a small updated room with too much furniture and touchs. There was really no room for the ironing board.
Location: It was convenient. I was without a car, so it's good I didn't need anything outside the hotel's small provision spotl
I needed a room on a popular Sat, night in Austin and this was one of the few choices available. It's a big wedding convention kind of hotel, right off the free way, and it was packed, so I paid premium. $299. for a room there is really too much. There is a nicer and quieter Marriott Residence across the parking lot, but it was sold out, so were the Baymont, and the other more reasonable hotels, right next door!. The Marriott South was ok. Nothing Special. Tight long hall ways and view of the parking lot, it made me realize that last minute can be costly. The rates during the week are better, and even with the meeting rooms and eating spots, there must be better choices. I learned my lesson. Plan ahead!

Great Experience!

The woman at the front desk was so friendly, very knowledgeable about near by things to do! The hotel was clean, my room was very nice. The free shuttle was very convenient. My only complaint would be the size of my bed, I expected the queen to be a bit bigger.

Very friendly staff. We left an item and they were so quick to get back to me on whether it was still there and how to get it to us.

Great Hotel but not for Team stay

Pros: Beatiful Hotel, great location, clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: communication If I was told when I confirmed we had kings not doubles, I could have rearranged room assignments and been preparred for the extra cost
The hotel is beautiful and staff was polite and accommodating as needed. I booked 7 rooms for a high school track team (w/doubles) through Expedia, but confirmed with hotel twice before stay. We had 7 king rooms and I was concerned. Staff did put a roll away bed in each room to help with situation, but we had to pay for one more room to accodate all athletes and coaches. They could only discourage us from booking through a third party. We'll know better next time.

The staff is really nice and very informative. The location was great. It's a couple I minutes away from downtown Austin.

Comfortable hotel close enough to attractions

Great experience, with special kudos to Mindy at the front desk who was always there with a great attitude and willingness to help. One of the top front desk experiences I've ever had.

Unhappy valentines

Not only did I just drive all the way to Austin but upon arrival to the hotel along with family members that also had reservations. The room wasn't available, they stated they were over booked when reservation was made. Every hotel near was booked. I was told I can stay at another location further away. I never received a phone call, email, nothing about the changes. I was forced to stay at a rinky dinky hotel for over $140, away from the rest of my family, and away from the activities I had scheduled. The hotel blames you and I bet you blame them. All the while myself the customer suffers. Happy valentines day!

More to offer than just a place to sleep

Great hotel! The things that made it well worth the stay... Free shuttle to 6th street, restaurant and bar in the hotel, the food and drinks were delish too, and friendly staff. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Austin!
