Very quiet hotel, yet located on busy interstate

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: QUIET Boutique Contemporary furniture Comfy beds Easy check in & check out
Cons: Update chairs & carpet in rooms Larger & more trash cans in room Turn on the AC in the room prior to guest arrival Bartender available in bar area
Location: Location is awesome....plenty to do in the area. Shopping, restaurants, golf, night life
This may be the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at. It is located on the busiest interstate in Austin, yet no noise inside the hotel. Check in was a breeze & walking to the room I was impressed with the artwork & boutique "feel". It was a 95 degree day in Austin & upon entering the room, I was not happy that the AC was off. It took at least an hour for the room to cool down. The pictures on the website are accurate. The bathroom is impressive...the tile in the shower, granite sink, & lighting are 5 star hotel quality. The beds are very comfy. We even had a small balcony with 2 chairs. The TV was adequate, but too low on the sideboard to watch from bed without propping up. The 2 chairs in the room need an upgrade, as does the carpet, which had several stains. Breakfast was average, nothing fancy. The small bar never had a bartender that I saw. So, if you are looking for a big hotel feel, Casulo is not your kind of place. If you want a quiet getaway in a boutique hotel, it is perfect.

Worse boutique hotel stay ever.

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Nothing really.
Cons: Especially a person from front desk. Remember that hotel is a hospitality business and in our stay we didn't receive that.
Location: Location is good, close to downtown.
One of the most important things in a boutique hotel is the service of everything, and very important of their staff, and this was not the case. At our check out a girl called Lidia or something like that made us the worse hotel stay ever. The hotel should be very careful choosing the people to work at the facilities and even more in the front desk. First we started with a "suite room" that had two aditional floor A/C units to try to cool the big room, but not even that they can't make it. We complain at the front desk and the maintenance guy told the girl was there, that the problem was since a long time ago on those rooms and they still haven't find the way to fix it. We were in a hurry so we couldn't stay more time to resolve this problem and thought that at night the room will be better, but nothing the room was warm at night as well. With the A/C units noise your not able to hear the tv, so unless you just like to watch the tv with out listening, otherwise you can't enjoy any program. Also we request a couple aditional pillows ant it took them 30 minutes to get them, really?? In a 3 stories hotel with 46 bedrooms??. The hotel seems decorated with things bought it in a flea market ( different styles and cheap). I can keep saying more things that wasn't good at the hotel, but I believe the one just mention are the most important. Worse boutique hotel stay ever, I'm so upset about it. I'm not a English speaker so I'm sorry also if my grammar is not perfect.

Pros: Staff friendly, but unrefined and struggle with English
Hotel in undesirable location near highway Should not advertise as having a fitness room as they effectively do not Location is terrible

Awesome place. Friendly staff

Great deal for a nice place. You can't walk to any food, but they are close to down town Austin. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

It was a comfortable stay for an overnight trip to Austin. The decor was odd, but the room was clean.

Unique hotel

Boutique type hotel, close to airport. Needed a relaxing room and night in Austin at last minute. Found this unique, off the beaten path hotel. Quiet, comfort

Balcony overlooked pool.

Pros: Staff was cordial and lovely breakfast.
Cons: Makeup mirror was cracked and the light did not work. The elevator needed a clean, but it was a busy weekend.
Location: Austin - nuff said.
Lovely linens and sumptuous bed. Great fluffy towels. Enjoyed the lounge chairs and the tv. Small fridge was a nice amenity.
