hard to find and very little parking

Pros: Room was clean and the tv worked.
Cons: fix curtains get carpets instead of tile floors.
Curtains were broke and did not close well. But room was clean enough.Good cheap hotel if that is what you are looking for.

Location: University---you can walk!!!
Not sure I'd recommend to a single lady traveling...BUT no real dangers or weirdness observed at all...in fact....considering....seems very safe if you exercise wisdom. BEST thing is its location IF you need to be near the University! Couldn't be more convenient. That's why I stayed there the second time. Room cleaning was good...a bit inconsistent but good....the rooms seem clean but not what you'd call "pristine"....it's just passable and clean...which is OK. Staff was helpful when asked. My TV stopped working on digital channels on last night BUT wasn't too bad... I found a couple channels working.....Just don't stay here expecting luxury or many extras or a brand new "like a magazine" type room. It's just a comfortable place to chill and stay in room and relax......

There is noticeable highway noise but it is worth it for the price $7.30 cab fare to 6th street from hotel. If you have the AC on it drowns out the noise for the most part. SO worth the money!! To listen to such amazing live music!!

In town for a conference. This was a late booking so price was reasonable in short time span. Older hotel, nice linens, older furniture and small room. Stayed four days and the floor was not swept or dusted.

15 minute walk from UT-Austin Music School

Pros: It was a good price. The breakfast selection was decent.
Cons: They have no place to procure drinking water onsite. The tap water wasn't terrible, but I wish I could have filled up my water bottle at a fountain.
Location: There is a hospital and a university (I was on foot). You probably have more choices with a vehicle handy.
The hotel is nice and clean, and it is the perfect distance for a pleasant walk to campus. It's really more like a motel with outdoor entrances to every room. There is a nice little café next door at which to eat. It is right next to the freeway, so if traffic noise bothers you, definitely avoid it (white noise like that just puts me to sleep). There was some grout coming up in the bathroom, and it looked like it might be caused by leaking water from the shower curtain (both mornings, even though I tried to seal it).
